No casino.. but very good!

This is a good hotel very close to the strip. It has a lot of facilities but no casino. The hotel has a small pool with a pool bar. 6 330ml beers were $40 which was a little expensive. The hotel is very clean and comfortable but quite pricey. I paid $600 for 6 nights. The hotel restaurant was good. The food was very nice. They have a little shop and a Starbucks near the reception. Lacks customer service

As a frequent guest in Marriott properties, customer service is important and can make or break a stay in a hotel. While on business in the area, I felt it was important to have the ability to take some downtime when possible so I decided on the Westin. I was given an accessible room given that I had a toy chihuahua accompanying my girlfriend. Noise from the hall was an issue so I got a room fan to drown out the noise though it took several attempts to get one a day later. On my last evening, a party down the hall caused too much noise causing the dog to bark. I received a phone call to return to take care of the noise which was done within an hour or so as I was in a Cirque show when the phone call came through. Everything seemed fine when I returned and I was no longer questioned by the staff. Upon checking out the following day, a $150 damage fee was charged to my account. When inquiring about the charge the staff could not answer so I asked for information from the front desk manager. Alexander Selma, the front desk manager informed me that I had to have the dog on me at all times and that the 5 lbs dog caused damage. There is no such policy that was presented or I could find on the "pet-friendly" hotel's website or materials. I also had a transcript with the hotel staff and his voicemail the night before that contradicted his claim. I then asked to go to the room to see what damage was caused, Alex refused. Without a resolution, I asked to speak to the hotel manager and was promptly denied. I elevated my voice in my request which prompted Alex to contact the hotel manager, Keith Shopnick. When he could not get Mr. Shopnick on the phone, he told me to leave the hotel. I asked for his business card and the card for Mr. Shopnick with his direct line to which he refused my request. Instead, Alex, called security on me to escort me to my vehicle. His disrespectful acts and discreditability is not the level of service I am accustomed to from a Marriott property. I attempted to call Mr. Shopnick and left a message with information to return my call while I barely made my flight. No one has contacted me about the incident so apparently, their disregard for the customer goes beyond the front desk. There are plenty of options to stay in at Las Vegas. I would not recommend this property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don’t stay here

This is one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time (I travel weekly for work). The room was clean, but the AC fan was SO loud I had to keep it off at night (it’s 100 degrees). When I came in the room it was rattling, but was able to use my fingers to bend some of the grilles so that stopped. This morning I got woken up at 7am by a maintenance worker peeling duct tape and painting. I asked him how long he would be working and he said all morning. The noise travels right through the doors. Why would you put someone in a hotel room right next to where they are doing maintenance work? I took video of this, but unfortunately am only able to post photos here. Will write another review elsewhere that allows videos. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Good location for business travel

A warm, professional and friendly staff made the stay very comfortable and facilitated my business trip. The breakfast was of good quality, the public areas were comfortable, the access to nearby two monorail stations made for easy access to the Convention Centre. Situated only a short walk to the strip meant you were able to stay out of the hustle and bustle but still be close to all the action. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Always pleased with Westin Las Vegas

We have stayed at Westin Las Vegas several times now. It is the hotel we prefer. THE biggest reason is the cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms, sheets. This is BIG for me. We appreciate the cleanliness so very much. The kind and professional desk agents are great, the complimentary water is wonderful. All good! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
