Do not pay for parking through the hotel

Jul 3rd, 2020

They have you park at a Laz garage and bring your ticket to them. Well I lost the ticket and they told me they had no way to help even though I paid for the parking through them. So they knew my car had been there for one day and I had paid for it! So I had to pay on top of that to get my car out. If I had just paid through the garage I would have had to pay just the lost ticket fee. I will never stay at this hotel again. The young man was rude and unhelpful. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

THEY AREN'T WEARING MASKS. ROOM WAS NOT CLEAN.

Jun 25th, 2020

June 24. DO NOT STAY HERE. NO MASKS. UNCLEAN ROOMS. THEY THINK COVID IS A JOKE. I paid $200 for a night here so I could come and pickup a family member to take them home. Despite City ordinance requiring people to wear masks, and after I called ahead to make sure people were wearing masks, the employees where 1) aloof "we can't ask people to wear masks" 2) not wearing masks themselves 3) people in lobby no wearing masks and 4) the room was not clean. There was a old McDonald's cup in the fridge. They were nice to move me but it was so apparent this is not the Marriott's "The wellbeing of our guests and associates is of paramount importance" deal. I was actually excited to stay in a place that advertised this as taking this pandemic seriously. I should have saved my money and slept in the car. This is really really disappointing. I think the saddest thing was to see the front desk employees on the nightshift not wearing a mask "because I'm leaving work" TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Why do I stay here?

Jun 15th, 2020

I've stayed here several times over the years. Every time they disappoint. I like the location (close to Beale st., but far enough away to be quiet) but this property is just not up to Westin level. The building is fine, but the staff are always subpar. I'm done hoping this property will be sufficient. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location...nice rooms

Jun 13th, 2020

Came here for a quick weekend trip while driving around the South. The valet parking is down, but self-parking was discounted. The beds are a little firm but comfortable, and everything in the hotel was secure. Because of Marriott status, I got upgraded to the Execitive Suite, which was EXCELLENT. The jacuzzi tub was huge and could easily fit two people. Beale street, though basically deserted until sundown, was at our doorstep, which made the hotel clutch. There were plenty of food options in walking distance. Also whenever the NBA comes back, it's literally right across from the FedEx Forum, where the Grizzlies play. Would definitely recommend. Great Experience!!

Apr 16th, 2020

Manny and Vinny took care of me and my guest during our stay in Memphis! This was my first time at this property, and definitely will not be my last. Being a platinum elite guest with 60 Marriott nights last year its always great to have a personable staff like the one at the Memphis Westin. Kudos! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
