First off I was very please with my stay. I only was there one night but enjoyed myself. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The back portion of the hotel where the trails are was probably my favourite. My dog loved the trails and I felt like I was not even in the city. There was a gas fire pit but it was not lit yet(not sure if they do light it) with plenty of hammocks and Adirondack chairs for lounging. The room was very nice and spacious. Very clean. Nice large tv with cable. Large closet with safe inside. Small fridge which I wasn’t aware would be in the room or I would have brought cold items. Starbucks coffee in the rooms. We did have a balcony but it was locked and we couldn’t go out on it. Was disappointed with that. As well there was still construction material on the balcony even though the room was finished being renovated. Bringing a dog I expected to have to go all the way downstairs to take her out but there was a small grassy area off the second floor where I was staying that was not even 25ft from my room. Absolutely loved the convenience of that. I only wished that I was able to use the hotel restaurants and breakfast area but as I could not bring my dog I couldn’t. I feel that if the hotel is dog friendly they should make allowances for dogs in these areas as long as they are confined. Instead I had to walk down the road to the timmies and across the street to the restaurants to buy food and bring back to my room. The next morning I did appreciate the large urns of Starbucks coffee and tea that are available to guests. Check in and out was super easy. The only thing that really irritated me was the morning I was supposed to check out housekeeping knocked on my food at 9:00am asking when I planned on leaving so they could clean my room. Overall would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I realized that they are renovating this hotel after I booked it. I had some concerns about the reviews from others. I called and told them that I'm a terminal cancer patient, and was meeting their with friends. I don't know her name, but the manager on staff made sure I was well away from the renovations. I really appreciated that good will gesture. I will follow up with a full review once my stay is over. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Regular hotel room, buffet was good.

We were getting ready for a wedding here, the AC went down on our wing of the hotel on a HOT day 46C!! It wasn't too bad in the room but still hot, we needed to have a fan running. Not sure how the night went. The staff was friendly, doorman! Always smiling. The brunch buffet had all the options and the dessert portion was delicious. The buffet was definitly the best part! Then friendly staff! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I was staying with family for 2 nights for my brothers wedding. The welcoming from the doorman (Mathew) was exceptional and started our 2 night stay off just right. Was very helpful with answering questions and very personable. 5 stars for Mathew. Check in went well, the room was very clean and spacious. I highly recommend booking your getaway here. I will be back!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Tired old style hotel

An old style hotel that needs a lot of updating. We had an updated room but while it was large it was dark and dreary Breakfast was included but everything on the buffet was lukewarm. Elevators were slow. Parking for a day was $18.00 which I think was overpriced. I would look for another location rather than paying over $300.00 for one night TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
