Perfect Location!

Apr 1st, 2020

Thanks to a Southwest Airlines Vacations package, we ended up at this hotel, and it was just what we needed. Never rented a car; mainly walked, and used Lyft/Uber a couple of times. First off, thanks to Anthony P for suggesting I upgrade to a king bed with water views, because our 17th floor corner room had a whole WALL of windows! The staff also saved us by quickly finding some sunscreen for us right before our whale watching tour with Flagship (which was the highlight of my trip!). Be sure to catch their free Happy Hour M-TH in the lobby! We walked to Seaport Village, Gaslamp District, USS Maritime, and to our favorite breakfast spot - Richard Walker’s Pancake House! (Vegan omelettes and pancake, whaaat?) You have a shuttle to and from the airport, quick trip. Thanks for a great stay, I miss you already, San Diego!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great service in times of need

Mar 31st, 2020

We stayed there before shelter in place took place and the staff was taking all the precautions already. Putting the keys in a container with soap ready to disinfect them. Anthony P. was very kind and helpful, with a great charisma made us feel quite welcomed. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location for exploring Dan Diego

Mar 31st, 2020

Stayed here 3 days at the end of our cruise. Located on the edge of the historic Gaslamp Quarter and 15 minutes walk from the shore, it is ideally located for exploring this beautiful city. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with all the usual facilities. Staff on reception, concierge desk and travel advice were excellent and helped us plan our visit. Would stay again TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A little out of the fray

Mar 29th, 2020

This hotel was just ok - lately hotels have all been mediocre, even at the big brands. Odd layout to this hotel. The room was on the larger side but felt like a building that had been done in the 80s and needs a significant refresh to current design styles for rooms and common areas (colors, styles of furniture, amenities etc). I was there for a business meeting - room service food was decent as was the catering for my meetings. Service quality and friendliness of front desk staff and manager was questionable. I think this may be a managed/franchised property so they didn’t seem to value elite levels members. I would NOT stay here again because it is a bit too far from everything, outdated style and poor service quality/friendliness. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Successful Business Trip

Mar 15th, 2020

Stayed at the Westin for 5 days for a business conference. Anthony P. representated the core values of the customer service you would expect and also appreciate. Anthony went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Many great places within walking distance. Truly an amazing experience. Highly recommend this hotel!
