It's a terrific place to stay in D.C.

Aug 22nd, 2020

It's a terrific place to stay in D.C. it's conveniently located, close to the museums and monuments, federal and government offices, walking distance to bars and restaurants. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. I had a terrific four days before Thanksgiving, when it wasn't too hectic. Fall weather conditions and early Christmas decorations made a pleasant stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great hospitality and service

Jul 25th, 2020

We had a great experience here, and were treated to exceptional service. We had to book our reservations last minute and they accommodated us. Wesley went above and beyond to make sure we were taking care of. Will definitely stay here again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

from a titanium marriott member: DO NOT STAY HERE

Jun 6th, 2020

horrible experience and I'm a loyal marriott member!!! there were very few people staying here when I checked in. Corona, protests, etc. YET they only had one of four elevators working the whole time. despite the low number of guests - every time an elevator came there was someone in it. or waiting to get on. how does this help during COVID-19 crisis?? are you saving $20 per hour on electricity? one guest got on the elevator I was on - without a mask on. I stepped off and let her go on her own - forced to wait for the same elevator to return.... zero social distancing whatsoever. shame on you westin/marriott! . I am titanium. automatic upgrade per rules. Not only did I not get an upgrade - despite the fact that no one is staying here! I got a room facing the interior of the building. I had to ask for a room with a window that faced the sky. even though I'm titanium and there are a dozen people staying here. so I got moved to a new room. I write this review from there - room 1133. hades. it's currently 83 degrees here. can't sleep. sweating. what a crappy hotel. never again. terrible, 1/10 experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great base to explore DC

Mar 30th, 2020

The Westin is a great base from which to explore the sites of the national capital. I stayed here for three nights with my wife and kids while exploring the congressional library, the national mall and museums and the city generally. The concierge was very helpful suggesting extra sites that we wouldn't have thought of (and which the kids loved) and also helped us with great dinner recommendations. Our room was spacious and very clean. The location is great TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A+ Customer Service

Mar 18th, 2020

I started at my company in September of 2019 as a Meeting & Events Planner. In the short time of working in my office, I was told that I needed to setup a meeting at a DC Hotel. Since September, I believe that I have contracted 5 room blocks with meetings at your hotel. The customer service that I have received from your hotel has always been 5 stars. Before my current company, I worked in hotels from 2000-2019. To say that I am a tough critic of hotels would be an understatement. Lori Shephard, Jalil Saadvandi, Kayla Cherry and Wilton Madison have all been fantastic to work with. Cynthia Gianuca is now being added to the list of names above. She received a frantic call from me on February 27th. I had recently booked an extremely short termed booking for your hotel with the Department of Education, in DC. I was tasked with finding restaurants in the area of your hotel as the conference attendees were on their own for lunch. I haven't ever been to your hotel and had no idea how long that would take. I was sitting at an airport on the East Coast having flight delays. I thought ... I wonder if the concierge at the hotel would have such a list? Cynthia took my call and said that she was actually leaving soon. She asked if she could send me the document in the morning? I told her that I needed it today as the group arrived in the morning. She turned her laptop on and sent me the email. This may seem like a small task. I so appreciated her having the list and sending it to me asap. I was able to get the email to my client and gave her all of the credit. Thank you for having a 1st class team. I am incredibly loyal to your hotel and will be back with meetings once the world craziness is done. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
