Touching how they go out of their way to reward loyalty

Sep 25th, 2020

I returned from Afghanistan at 0330 on leave and had a seven hour layover at Dulles. I was hoping to get a room for 3-4 hours to grab a shower and change clothes. I called the hotel. The rate on the app was $71. The rate they offered me was $89. This is how you treat a Lifetime Platinum member with over 1000 nights in your properties? I'm sure it will be fine. We still don't have a COVID-19 vaccine, but I'm sure hotels will be just fine TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quick visit

Mar 26th, 2020

Hard to rate properly because I was here during the pandemic and everything was shut but from what I saw the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. Not much around to walk to. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had a stand alone shower with wand and water fall shower head. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Worth Every Penny!

The Westin Washington Dulles Airport is quite a great airport hotel near IAD. We were fortunate to stay the night before an early morning flight and was more than pleased with quality of service and facilities. Upon arriving to the hotel, the self parking option was more than convenient and accessible. As soon as we parked, we took the elevator from the second floor down to the first, and we were near the conference rooms inside the hotel. Our room was not ready, but we were notified through the app as soon as it was available and made the check in process easier than expected. I would highly recommend the one bedroom suite that includes two showers, sofa bed, and a great lake view. The suite was more than comfortable and allowed for some freedom and privacy in our party. In addition, we enjoyted breakfast in the morning and service was top notch. Finally, I would say that the shuttle service from the hotel to the airport was more than efficient and allowed for an early arrival to the airport with no issues. I felt valued as a Titanium elite member in this hotel and will definitely consider it in the near future when we have a trip from AID. Highly recommend it! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent Airport Hotel Option

Feb 24th, 2020

About 13 minutes shuttle ride to hotel which runs twice per hour from the terminal. VERY economical if booked on Priceline. Front desk / Check-in personnel were very efficient and friendly. Hotel is fresh, clean and a great airport option if you have a late arrival and then early morning departure. we got to hotel at 11:00 pm and were on 5:30 am shuttle back to airport and loved our experience TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not bad for an airport hotel in the Dulles area

Jan 26th, 2020

Honestly, I was spoiled by the plush airport hotels near Heathrow when I lived in the UK. For some reason, the airport hotels in the rest of the world never seem to compare. That said, The Westin is probably one of the better choices around Dulles, and I did a lot of research before I booked. The lobby was stylish and the room were clean, albeit very basic and on the small side. We were on our way to.Japan for a 10 day trip, so we had pretty large suitcases with us. It was a bit of a squeeze getting everything in the room. The bathrooms featured a nice walk-in shower, which is nice when you're preparing for an early morning 14 hour flight. The restaurant had a decent selection for dinner, with some light meal options on the menu. However, it was a definitely on the overpriced side, so maybe consider eating before you arrive if possible. As far as customer service, I can't say that I was blown away. The TV in our room wasn't working. I called the front desk and was told an engineer would be there in 15 minutes to fix the issue. An hour later and no one showed up. We finally gave up and went to bed. The shuttle service in the morning was seamless. Overall, not a bad experience for the Dulles area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
