Excellent service

This hotel was great. Rooms were spacious, very clean and with decent amenities ( including bath robes). We were booked into this hotel by Royal Caribbean to go on a cruise the following day. The cruise was cancelled after we flew into Tampa from the UK! (because of Covid-19) We had to extend our stay by a couple of nights before we could fly home. The hotel gave us preferential rates for those 2 nights and could not have been more helpful. If we ever manage to cruise from Tampa again this hotel would be our first choice The hotel beds were the best we have ever slept in. There was a mall just across from the hotel with several restauants and a food court. McDonalds and Burger King were within walking distance. Publix supermarket was just around the corner. It would be difficult to find another hotel so close to all these amenities. Also, self parking was free although there was a charge for valet parking. .Anna on reception was particularly understanding and extremely patient in negotiating our stay extension on a day by day basis. Great Hotel – Awesome Staff- Superb Service

We had planned on staying at the Westin Tampa Bay for the duration of our stay. After an underwhelming first night, we decided to change hotels and we moved to the Westshore Grand. We were VERY happy we changed hotels because everything at the Westshore Grand was absolutely fabulous! Everything from the hotel and every staff member we interacted with. We left the Westin first thing in the morning and asked to check in early at the Westshore. Frances emailed me letting me know the room was ready and that we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. Rodney checked us in. He acknowledged my Titanium Elite status and told me how much our loyalty to the Bonvoy brand is appreciated. That’s really nice to hear that my loyalty matters. It was a real pleasure chatting with him as he checked us in. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and appreciative of our loyalty. The hotel room was absolutely lovely! We really appreciated the suite upgrade. And we really appreciated the wine and cheese platter the hotel sent up to us. That was SO NICE and completely unexpected. The upgrade and the nice surprise really made our day and made us feel valued for our loyalty to Bonvoy. Breakfast was nice. It was a buffet with a variety of options. Whitney took very good care of us. She was very personable, nice, and very attentive. We never had to ask for anything. I love staying at an awesome hotel with top notch, superb staff. Lovely Stay

Quick overnight while in Tampa, much better than the Westin the first night. Rodney was great at check in with a junior suite upgrade. And Whitney was very nice at the buffet breakfast. Close the airport and easy access to the freeways to explore St Pete's, Clearwater and the Riverwalk. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Doesn’t deserve to be a Marriott

There’s nothing except Marriott Bombay signages that connects this hotel with Marriott. I’m a Gold Elite member of the Bonvoy club and won’t stay here again unless there is absolutely no other option in this city Few observations: 1. Average motel like hotel. Nothing fancy that you typically find at a Marriott. Conventional TV with live tv channels 2. The linen smells like kerosene/dry clean fluid 3 Not so clean - I found a used cup in the trash can right after I checked in 4. When I reported the cup in the trash can; I was given a reasonse “what’s the big deal about it? If you want we can send someone to remove the cup”. I wasn’t offered a different room even out of courtesy 5. I asked for a bathroom amenity - it took half an hour and two phone calls 6. There is no WiFi at the gym. Probably the public places don’t have WiFi TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Hotel//Great Staff

This hotel is perfect if you’re going into see you a Tampa Bay buccaneers game or to Steinbrenner Stadium. A little off the beaten path as far as night life. I can’t say enough about the staff though. Extremely nice and friendly and not in a cheesy way TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
