Very nice rooms and very well located

Apr 23rd, 2019

The room we got was really large and quiet. Bed is awesome and also very large (king size). The hotel is reslly well located, close to city center and surrounded by restaurants. The only problem is the price they charge for parking. 45usd per night. Whaaaaat? So be smart and download one of those "where to park" apps and find a place yourself. I have managed to find places for 12usd a night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed 5 nights. Room wasn’t ready so we got upgraded to better room! Staff is great. Good location. Close to John Hancock and Water Tower Place and Magnificent Mile. Lots of fun in Gold Coast with many restaurants and bars nearby. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice property/Good Stay

Apr 16th, 2019

I was at this hotel from 4/11/19 -4/15/19. It is a nice boutique-type hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. ALEX the bellman was especially helpful with restaurant suggestions and CTA instructions. Room was clean and spacious. Overall, a very stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Chicago stay

Apr 14th, 2019

My wife, and myself recently spent 5 wonderful days in Chicago. The city has many places to see and visit and the people make you feel very welcome. Visit - Navy Pier, Willis tower, Chicago 360 and all:the big shops up the Maginificent Mile. Feeling sporty visit Soldiers Field or Wrigley Fi3ld for bid American sports. We stayed in The Whitehall Hotel, an inspired choice. Staff efficient and professional and only too pleased to help. Everyone was excellent with Alyson, receptionist, outstanding. Facilities, restaurant very good. Would go back to this hotel TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

So Bad We Left 5 Hours In

Apr 13th, 2019

My boyfriend and I booked a room for one night as we were catching a show pretty late and didn’t want to drive back to the suburbs. We saw a good deal and some great pictures so we went ahead and booked for the night. The front desk service was amazing and we were even given an upgrade! Once we arrived to the room we were pleasantly surprised to find that our “upgrade” was falling apart. The first thing we noticed was the foul smell of must. Then we notice that the wall paper is actually coming off the walls. We decided to just accept that and chalk it up to age. Then we go in the bathroom and discover that the paint is coming off the ceiling from water, like there was a leak. Then we take a peek at the shower and notice that it’s placed so low on the wall that neither my boyfriend or myself could not get our heads under it (I’m 5’7 he’s 6’1). All of this on top of the disgusting carpet was enough for us to call it. The “upgraded” room looked nothing like the picture we saw online and I could not express my disappointment enough in the false advertising. (I double checked to make sure) We placed our cards in the express checkout box and went to the show. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone I know. I wish I had taken pictures.
