Excellent staff, excellent location

Jun 11th, 2019

This was exactly what I needed. My bed was super comfortable and the room was spacious and things were very quiet (was very grateful to see the "no party" policy on check-in). Staff was very friendly and eager to help. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just OK

Jun 3rd, 2019

They say you get what you pay for but If that’s the case we should have paid less. Ok, there are many costing a lot more. We had 2 rooms. First one allocated was dark with peeling, stained wallpaper and smelled musty. When the 2nd room became available I said I hoped it wasn’t as bad as the 1st and could the 1st be changed. We kept the 2nd and the 3rd rooms. However, they both had problems. The beds were comfortable with decent bedding. Towels were also good. The hot water was plentiful. The location could not be better. There were too many problems to mention but why 1 dressing gown in a room for 2 people? Our friends had none! Receptionists were hot and cold although most other staff were good. In future we’d pay a bit more to ensure a better experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Aging mid-class hotel in excellent location

Jun 3rd, 2019

The WhiteHall's major asset is its location - around the corner from the Water Tower, it is centrally located very close to the Magnificent Mile. The hotel itself has probably seen better times, but if you stay for a few nights, it is more than ok. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great location but rooms are dated

Jun 1st, 2019

We stayed here for 4 nights, we loved the location perfect right next to the John Hancock and the magnificent mile. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. However, the entire hotel was very dated and in need of upgrading. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Should never be your first choicr

May 31st, 2019

Checking out today after a two-night stay for a conference. The list of complaints is just too long: smells musty, mildew in bathroom, peeling paint, peeling wallpaper, crumbling and discolored grout in bathtub, missing escutcheon plate on toilet, light burned out in bathroom, missing lens on downlight over shower, cannot cool A/C below 73 at night, no coffee, non-working outlets. Dated and shabby. Stay away. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
