Four pools with two waterslides that guests say kids love
Daily resort fee of $28 added to daily rate
The Wigwam wows in more ways than one. Guests say its friendly staff deserves the most praise while rooms are regularly described as comfortable and spacious (traditional guest rooms start at 480 square feet). The Wigwam's grounds also encompass three championship golf courses as well as four pools (equipped with two water slides), an in-house spa, fitness center, tennis courts and a lawn that hosts bocce ball. No matter how you choose to spend your day, recent guests recommend kicking off the evening with a meal at one of the resort's restaurants: Red's Bar & Grill serves casual American cuisine, while Litchfield's specializes in farm-to-table fare.

Critic Reviews

Built in 1918 as a retreat for executives of the Goodyear Company, the grand Wigwam Resort maintains its historical character while delivering a modern-day, luxury experience.

If you're a traditionalist who eschews those cactus- and rattlesnake-filled desert target courses, be sure to reserve a tee time on the Wigwam's Gold Course. This 7,100-yard resort course has long been an Arizona legend.

The adobe-style casitas are trimmed with wood furnishings and finished with artistic touches, such as rustic pottery and colorful throw rugs, alongside Jacuzzis and private terraces.

The Farmer's Market held on the resort's front lawn every Sunday sets the tone for the farm-to-table dining at The Wigwam's signature restaurant, Litchfield's. Named after Goodyear executive, Paul W. Litchfield, the eatery offers an interactive experience with a cooking fireplace and communal farm table. Also named for a Wigwam legend, the resort's 42-year veteran golf pro, Red's Bar & Grill serves upscale comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the venue overlooks the greens of the Gold and Patriot golf courses. Both the Wigwam Bar and the Tower Pool Bar & Grill feature casual, alfresco dining and cocktails.
