Great room, amazing views!

My wife and I stayed here for a staycation after our holiday party at Near. We got a few room upgrade to a corner suite, wow! Amazing views and so convenient to Puke Place market. Highly recommend staying here when visiting or just for a night away in Seattle. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing service and views!

Dec 12th, 2019

I just got back from a girls weekend in Seattle and we could not ask for a better experience. We booked a basic city view room but ended up upgrading after looking at the views from the market/water view rooms. I don't think there is another hotel in Seattle where you can get a view this spectacular. The location could not have been better, walking distance to everything. The people that work there are all so friendly and helpful. We also loved the champagne toast on arrival. We can't wait to go back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

First visit to The Thompson

Dec 12th, 2019

One night in Seattle to see performance at Benaroya Hall. Very clean and chic hotel, front desk, concierge, valet staff were wonderful. It is in an awesome location one block up from Pike Market. Room was nice, bed was a welcome firmness. Breakfast in restaurant was tasty and again, the staff there was awesome. Love staying where you can tell people like their jobs - that is a sign of a well run hotel!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Perfect experience

Dec 11th, 2019

We absolutely loved this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was perfect and the view- it was spectacular! The staff was super friendly and the location was within walking distance of everything that we wanted to do this trip. The only negative (if I have to pick something) would be the breakfast was just mediocre. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. In the future we will likely skip eating there for breakfast even though we are Globalist and it’s included in our stay. Other than that, we had such a good experience. The rooftop bar was so nice and worth taking the time to enjoy. (I’ve included a picture of our view). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Nice hotel, not sure it’s worth the $ difference

Dec 6th, 2019

Hyatt Globalist here. I guess they can charge more because it’s next to pikes place. Location is A++. They do a nice job with the subtle touches (welcome drink, brownies in the lobby, valet always opening the door for you). I struggle to see why I would pay significantly more for this hotel vs. say the new Hyatt Regency just up the street. The rooms are on the small side, and for any view, you’re going to have to pay more. My biggest disappointment was that I checked in and was told there were no space available upgrades (which come as a part of my status). When my coworker checked in 5 hours later (with no status) they upgraded her to an apartment suite. That was disappointing as I go out of my way to stay with Hyatt in every city I am in. Overall, solid hotel, no major complaints, but when you consider the value, I think there are better options in Seattle (even within the Hyatt family). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
