Enjoyed Our Stay Here

Dec 7th, 2019

Upon arriving the greeting from staff members seemed at bit over the top and the room that I had requested, (and paid for) some nine months prior to arriving was surprisingly unavailable. A notification of this would have been appreciated. HOWEVER, the room to which we were assigned in The Lancaster House proved better than the one I had requested so, as the saying goes, “all’s well that ends well.” And a special thank you to Tony at the Front Desk for being so helpful. Though we really did not avail ourselves of the various amenities offered by the Inn we really did enjoy our stay. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Some good and some bad

Nov 25th, 2019

We stayed at the Tides Inn during their Taste by the Bay Wine Festival. The festival was fantastic, the resort was OK. There was a lot of good - a nicely appointed resort, water views, nice room, good furnishings, gorgeous views, excellent location. There was also some bad - OK food wasn't worth the price in the restaurant, rain hitting the metal table on the patio outside our room kept us up at night, the door at the end of the hall would slam loudly (loud enough to wake us!), the resort fee was on our bill even though we were assured it wouldn't be - since we were vendors and wouldn't have time to use the amenities, and the shower cap container was empty - nobody ever checked to see if there was actually a shower cap inside the container. Would we stay there again? Yes, but we'll bring our own snacks for after the festival, we won't do a 1st floor room, we'll double check for the resort fee again and have them remove it again, and I'll check for a shower cap before I need the shower. Classic Southern Charm in a Contemporary Facility

Nov 10th, 2019

After planning to stay for years, we finally made it tot he Tides Inn, and we regret not going earlier. Almost perfect; location, Southern service, charm, modern amenities, great restaurant and bars service. No faults. Highly Recommended TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Fantastic

Nov 6th, 2019

My husband and I had the best time at the Tides Inn on our minimoon. The food, the activities, the spa...all of it was phenomenal. The town of Irvington is in walking distance and super cute with the perfect amount of shops and quaint restaurants. The Dog & Oyster winery is a really nice bike ride away as well! A must if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

There's the Great and Not so Great

Oct 17th, 2019

It's been awhile since we dined at the Tides Inn. I give it a 4 rating because some of the dishes are great but not all (and I find this to be routine). However, the service is perfect and so is the location so hence the 4 rating rather than a three. Here are some examples. The fried oysters are fantastic as well as the grilled fish entree. The clam chowder had so little clam in it, we sent it back and the casserole of scallops, shrimp and fish a big disappointment - the scallops were tasty, but the shrimp and fish overcooked and the sauce and bread crumbs tasteless. The other dishes were good but not great. Yes, we will come again as we enjoy the ambiance and the location, but we don't come for the food - except the oysters. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
