MOLD!!!!!!! Dirty rooms

Aug 10th, 2019

At check in everything looks great, then we go down stairs to our room. Upon entering building on the lower level we noticed two dehumidifiers running on each end on the hall way. you can tell these are running non-stop due to the dirt underneath them, As you open the door the smell of musty damp basement hits you in the face. While walking down the hall the smell gets stronger, then we open our door to our room. At a distance it looks nice but if you look close you will see black mold growing throughout the room. Starting with the bathroom, which has an updated shower, the tile has black mold growing in the grout all over bathroom, the back of the door even has black mildew. The bedroom has black mold on the sliding glass door molding, the sink in the main room has mold around the counter top edge and sink edge. The track for the closet has mold in the track under sliding door. We voiced our concern with the manager who sent the cleaning supervisor to our room and told us the smell was the cleaning products they used. We looked around Lake George for another room but everything was booked so we had to stay in the Mold room for the night. The next day we woke up with scratchy throats. We then packed up and got out of there. The manager refunded us the remainder of our stay and took 100.00 off the room form the night we stayed, only after I showed them the pictures of the mold in the room. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great resort

Jul 29th, 2019

My family and I stayed here the weekend of June 21-23. We were staying for my younger cousins AAU basketball tournaments. They hotel is old looking on the outside but the rooms inside are nice and updated, and clean. The staff at the bar and restaurant were very friendly. No complaints. If you want to stay for a weekend I recommend it. Clean, friendly, and safe. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Time warp to the 50's

Jul 29th, 2019

An interesting place to stay. It has a tiki show that is great (only in the summer - make the reservations separately). You can walk to the lake or town in about 10 minutes. The rooms are fine if a little dated and include a refrigerator. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not impressed

Jul 26th, 2019

Stayed with my family for 2 nights. Room reeked of strong room deodorizer (in lieu of actual cleanliness). Room needs updating badly. WiFi was extremely poor, so we had to use our phone data. Although the shower was updated, it was poorly designed and water flooded the floor after each shower. The bathroom was in dire need of cleaning, especially the walls and door (see pictures). There was also a spot of what looked like blood on one of the blankets. The sliding glass door was dirty. There was a sign that said “do not enter for 24 hours— pesticides sprayed.” It looked like it was sprayed all over the door. Overall, we survived, but this hotel could definitely use updating if they want to charges $200+ per night. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Desperately in need of TLC & updates

Jul 6th, 2019

This ia our second visit to the Tiki. The rooms are very tired and desperately need to be updated and urgently need painting and TLC. There is also an odor in the rooms that won't go away! Not sure what they use to wash the floors but they were very sticky. The day after our first night we never got housekeeping and had to call the desk for towels. It was so humid that ours stll had not dried at all. We stayed here this year so that we could see the Polynesian show. Dinner was a huge disappointment! Most meals were barely warm and one was sent back nearly untouched, yet was not taken off of the bill! The show was excellent and worth every penny! Michelle, the bartender is fantastic! Sadly, this will be our last visit to the Tiki. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
