Bad

Very bad hotel and they are not that helpful and the room service is very slow, i don’ Like it at all. I didn’t expect this experience with them. Imagine they are now hot water in the room for drinks. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great position, but too small

Aug 18th, 2019

I was there for a solo trip. It is located in one of the best position of NY, since it is in the Times Square and close to the metro station. It is also a nice hotel, well furnished. However, my room was too small and a paid for 2 because of extra duties. Strange policy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Excellent hotel

Aug 15th, 2019

We had a family room which was a good size and fantastic bathroom with plenty of room and a great shower. Staff were very helpful and we found the location to be excellent as it is so central, great for sightseeing and lots of restaurants in the area to choose from TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My stay at the GTS

Aug 15th, 2019

It was an enjoyable experience. The property was located close to everything. The room was a bit pricey then again it’s NYC. I would stay there again for sure. I enjoyed my stay. The water pressure was great. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Very clean and comfortable

Aug 14th, 2019

We stayed here at the end of July, and the aircon was a very welcome relief from the heat outside. The room was small, but by no means uncomfortably so. It is extremely clean, and our room was serviced daily. Our bed was very comfortable and we were well rested for our daily sightseeing. Our check-in was quick and easy, and we found most of the staff to be very accommodating and helpful - I did go down to reception to order a taxi for the next morning and was told to ring them myself as no concierge was on duty. I accepted this, but unfortunately the phone in the room wouldn't dial an outside line, so I had to go down to reception again. The night manager was rather bristly, but he did later apologise and also helped in getting the taxi organised as the person on the phone didn't understand my accent very well. The wifi was better in reception, and not very good in the rooms, and you would often see people on their phones downstairs. We were happy enough with the signal we got in the room though. There is no bar in the hotel itself, but there are two restaurants on either side of the entrance and also an Irish bar next door. The location of the hotel is really good too, a stone's throw from Times Square, close to NYC Sightseeing to organise your hop on/off bus tours, and within walking distance of Broadway and even the Intrepid. We enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend The Gallivant Times Square. Kind Regards, Yvonne TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
