Comfortable and met large family needs

Mar 6th, 2020

We stayed here for an extended weekend and reserved 4 two bedroom suites. Although the hotel has not been updated in quite a while, it met our every need. The beds were comfortable, it was great having a full kitchen in each suite (especially for the grandchildren's needs), and it was convenient to all the places we needed to go. The full complimentary breakfast was more than adequate (even had omelets, sausage, and make your own waffles). Although the dining area only has space for 8 people!! We had to take our breakfasts up to our rooms if the dining area was full. I would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great room!

Jan 6th, 2020

Great service, great place to stay. Staff was awesome. Super clean room. I would definitively stay here again. Close to shoppes and restaurants and I-95 Highway. The kind of place where you don't have to worry about anything. A+ TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Stayed here while bringing a high school team to NXR. It was a convenient location and a comfortable stay at a fair price. Nice updated lobby complete with warm chocolate chip cookies, never a bad thing. Check in person was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and well furnished. The bed felt a little less supportive than I like, as if it might have been past its prime. The complimentary breakfast was well done, with a nice variety of fresh choices. I would note that the building seems to be a work in progress, as you seem to move from a freshly renovated space, to one less so , then back again as you move about. No biggie, just worth noting. Noisy and awful smelling rooms

Nov 22nd, 2019

This was a disappointing stay and I won't be returning to this hotel if I can help it. Here are some specifics: - The biggest offense was the smell (Room 103). It smelled like body odor and for that reason alone, it's enough to keep me away from this hotel in the future. The room was clean, so it is either a very poor choice in fragrance or the building/walls just has an awful smell to it. - I could easily hear the guests above stomping around, and the issue didn't seem to be the guests. The floor/ceiling simply did not block much of the sound. Similarly, there was a lot of noise coming from the outside. It didn't help being on the first floor right in front of the main entrance, but that's just poor planning in the structure of this building and placement of rooms. Why there would ever be a room directly in front of the pool is beyond me. Thankfully it is winter so at least the pool wasn't being used (though I expect by its appearance it is not used often. - The "premium" WiFi ,the one that costs $5/night, was abhorrent. Simple tasks like streaming videos lead to constant buffering. I would never trust Marriott's pitch on premium WiFi again, ever. These are much more minor points: - The bathroom door was cracked. That seemed like a strange oversight given this is a Marriott hotel, I would have thought things like this get repaired regularly. - I was surprised how outdated the rooms looked given competition with hotels in the area. The room definitely needs some renovating. A couple things the hotel did have in the 'pros' column, though in no way exceptional/superior to what you would expect as service in a hotel stay: - The staff was nice. - The room was clean. - The kitchenette had some silverware which was good when ordering delivery. Dirty, smelly room

Jul 1st, 2019

We had first booked a two bedroom suite that had 3 beds. Two days before, I received an email that our room had an electrical problem and they were going to move us to 2 hotel rooms instead, not connecting. Not the way we wanted our family of five to start our vacation, but we said OK. We should have walked away from that red flag. The bigger of the two rooms they put us in was really dirty, mold all over the vents, a strong urine smell in the bathroom, and dirt in the sheets. And we found a used towel on the hook behind the bathroom door. We cleaned the bathroom floor the best we could with Lysol wipes, but the smell was still there. The smaller room was very clean, I wished all five of us could have stayed in that little room. We checked out the next day, 4 days early. Staff comped us the rooms, and told me to contact the managers by email. I did, and a week later, I haven't heard back from them. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
