Delynn at the front desk was extremely helpful and our stay was amazing! We had everything we needed on site with all kinds of options for great food and hospitality. The rooms were amazing and very clean. Pools and grounds were kept up very well. This property has all sorts of options from hot tubs to a kids pool. Multiple restaurants and amazing beaches with all kinds of amenities. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at

Mar 18th, 2020

Resort? Hardly. It's just a giant motel since the new CEO took over. Our family has been coming here for almost a decade and this year will be our last. From the moment we checked in we noticed the front desk staff looked ill, unfriendly and didn't even greet us. We had a beach view on the second floor, but the walkway to the room was littered with stagnant brown puddles. Our room smelled like cigarettes though it was non smoking. We saw cockroaches run under the bed several times when we opened the door to get in. The food was an abomination. Beef o Brady's was a health violation. Rum fish should change their name to grease fish because it gave our entire family diarrhea. After the first full day we ate out for the rest of the trip. We genuinely felt ripped off by how subpar the entire place has become. But this was the worst part, a male front desk staff member made a very inappropriate comment to my 15 year old daughter in a bathing suit. I reported it, and the person on the phone gave me a half hearted apology and never even asked for the name of that male. Unacceptable. Look elsewhere. This place should be condemned. Great Spot. Hotel was nice. bit dated but overall friendly staff.

So like many we were scrambling to do something with the kids due to spring break, Corona Virus and our 7 day cruise on Royal C. canceled. We decided to get out of Orlando and to the beach and this was a nice option. St. Pete beaches are really nice. I have to say, some of the best. You have a good 50 ft of sand bar which makes it a great environment for kids and families. Staff was nice on check in. Its an older style hotel. You do have nice hotel amenities (which you do pay for per night) with cabanas nicely located right in front of the hotel. Pool area was a bit small but was ok. They had nice restaurants and a bunch of places to choose from. Not sure if I will repeat but overall no complaints on the hotel and like I said, location was key. Pros: Beaches number one. Location, convenience and staff was very nice. Cons, a little dated, rooms were set up a bit backwards which I didn't get, they had the sitting sofa area by the window looking out to the beach and the beds right by the front door which made it tough to sleep in due to other guest getting up and running around. Also a bit of a Con was a little nickeling and diming on some stuff. Paddle boards were a 30 dollar charge, 15 dollars if you wanted a Cabana in the front. Nothing big and in the big picture not that big of a deal but a bit petty if they are already charging you a 45 or 65 dollar charge to use the facilities on top of the almost 400 a night for a cheap room. again, overall we enjoyed ourselves and the cons are just FYI. Sam is the best bartender at Beach O’Grady’s in the whole trade winds resort Hotel #SamAtBee. She was the best Eva we loved her the most of all the beach bars at trafewinds. Get it girl you’re the best TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
