Waterfront Bungalow was Amazing

Jan 25th, 2020

We stayed at Travassa Hana for 2 nights in bungalow number 218. The view from our room and porch was knock out gorgeous and we had nothing blocking our line of sight. The breeze and ocean sounds were magical. In the room there was a table with two chairs, and a couch with a coffee table facing the ocean and a bar area with a coffee maker, some glasses and a mini fridge. The deck had two different sets of lounge chairs. The bathroom was spacious and elegant. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night and had a picnic with wine and cheese on our porch the second night after hiking and exploring all day. Our room was so amazing we did not want to leave. Highly recommend grabbing a drink by the pool, checking out the food trucks in town and the Ranch Store was pretty nice for picking up our picnic supplies. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is a special place

Jan 24th, 2020

I didn't want to leave. The property is spacious and beautiful and the rooms are rustic and large with the main event being the ocean views and the spacious, private decks. We kept it simple and simply watched whales, swam in the pool and attended a coconut husking "class" and a welcome night cocktail party. Travaasa did for me what no blood pressure medication could! Oh, how I wish I was still there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

4 Nights of Bliss!!!

Jan 23rd, 2020

Hana Travaasa made Maui our personal paradise! Not only did we get to immerse in local life and take our time to see all of Maui’s big attractions, but we loved the horseback riding, games and experiential activities on sight and the friendly service! Gorgeous facility! Great attention to details that make a trip worth it! Their friendly and informed activity staff was a highlight of our trip in Hana. I came to the resort because of the activities and wasn't disappointed! We got to go fishing in the ocean with a guide and learn to throw and catch net fish, throw spears, play ukulele, make traditional crafts and food, and more. It was like having a local teach us how to live in Hawaii. Thank you Hana Travaasa! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

DON'T do a day trip to Hana, stay at Travaasa for at least 3 nights!

Jan 7th, 2020

THIS is Maui like it used to be, an abundance of waterfalls, black sand beaches, red sand beaches, regular sand beaches, hiking, waterfalls, horseback riding along the coast, and the list goes on. And when you're done, relax in paradise at Travaasa. We tyry to go at least once a year and this trip was another amazing experience; from smores over an open fire with the kids, to all the craft classes available to making your own acai bowl with a blender powered by a bicycle! the service here is fantastic, rooms and ambiance amazing. You can't help but relax and unwind. The pool has an unobstructed view of the ocean and the property is very spread out, so no one on top of each other. The 'cherry on top' for us was getting 3pm check-outs on our departure day, which allowed us to add even more to our 3 night getaway. I can't emphasize enough my recommendation you book a few nights in Kaanapali or Wailea/Makena, then come over here to finish your trip off. You'll be SO GLAD you did. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Travaasa Spa - NO

Jan 7th, 2020

I have been traveling and going to spas all over the world for a decade, and have never had such a poor experience. From the minute I walked in the door - the receptionist made no eye contact, and I waited for 5 minutes before she checked me in. Then off to the spa where I was given a wet robe - yes, it left my arms wet!! Not jungle damp. Then to the waiting room where there were no snacks, water, and an array of tattered magazines. Great view though!! The service itself (facial) was marked throughout by a variety of sighs and yawns. Product was put a little on one side (making for a dry rub) and loaded on the other - several times a loose hair was dragged across my face and rubbed in. My hair was everywhere as the provider didn't adjust the hair band which was on crooked from the start. I really wanted to leave after the first 20 minutes, but knew I wouldn't get my $250- back...so I stayed and the treatment ended when the provider left me on the table with large, wet towels wrapped around my feet. It's hard to report on someone but when you spend so much money and travel so far, it's just not right that the service should be so absolutely poor. I cannot believe this spa gets good reviews...and it leaves me wondering who is doing the review - and who is paying them too!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
