A little positive mixed with quite a bit of negative

So, proximity to the gulf - great. Recent remodeled room - great! That’s where it ends. I’m allergic to cigarette smoke, and our non smoking room reeked of it. Possibly coming from other rooms? I don’t know. But it was bad enough that the night after we left to head up to the DFW area, my nightgown still smelled like smoke. Having Claritin with me was the only thing that saved me from getting sick with an allergy attack. They’re still remodeling the outdoor stairs, so be prepared for banging, drilling, loud voices at around 8:30 am. Also if you have any business calls, zoom, etc. be aware that you’ll hear everything from outside the room. Also, apparently night and day staff don’t communicate. We got a call telling us it was time to leave at 10:50, but we had already arranged a late check out the night before. So, the call as well as the remodeling noise made the zoom conference call pretty difficult. These issues made the price not worth it, in my opinion. Next time we’ll pay more to avoid the hassle. Wow what a hotel!!

What can I say, plenty, for only $59 a night to stay and no extra charge for our small dog. This hotel ROCKS!! We stayed in a beautiful room with a king size bed on the second floor. Where to begin, this place was well lighted ,5 LED lights in sleeping area ,easy to use A/C that blew freezing cold air all night long. I counted 11 electrical outlets,2 with USB ports, a small size fridge that was on and cold,35 degrees and small microwave but cleaned, inside, nice size small coffee maker with 3 different types of coffee,an Iron with Ironing board and a decent size bathroom with a nice shower head ,with plenty of hot water, that came quickly! Bathroom also had a blow dryer, soap and a Ice Bucket with 4 plastic cups The TV looked bigger than it was and had lots of channels and a cleaned remote The pool was very nice and clean, and outside,we chose not to use it ,because we were always busy, doing something. If you ever down in Galveston and need a nice place to stay ,that’s under $100 ,due yourself a favor and stay here! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

great get-a-way

Recently updated room. Room was very clean and bed very comfortable. Pet friendly hotel! The seawall is maybe half a block away so it was great to just walk to the beach and not worry about parking. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. It was our first time in Galveston beach and we loved it! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great motel a block from the beach

Sep 7th, 2020

We were pleased to find we were staying within walking distance of our favorite places to eat like The Spot and Ben & Jerry's, and we were right next-door to Gaido's Seafood Restaurant. Our room was surprisingly crisp and modern with a king bed so comfortable we slept much longer than usual. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the maids cleaned our room promptly and well, and parking was never a problem. This motel is a great, reasonably-priced option relative to other hotels if you want to stay near the beach. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Clean! Amenities! Pet Friendly! Perfect for the price!

My fiance and I stayed here with our puppers while on vacation, and it was perfect for it's price. Super clean room and surroundings! Comfy big bed, nice bath/shower, pretty good tv, mini fridge; they provided coffee, various towels, soap/shampoos, hair dryer. Nice, gated little pool with table and seating in and out of shade. Doggie bags/trash nearby for when you walk your pup. The only negative would be when we had just finished a long wait at our favorite restaurant and encountered traffic among the oncoming storm. We requested a very slight late checkout to make it back to our dog on time. It took begging to get a very strict thirty minutes. Not very accommodating and did not seem to care about us after our stay was close to ending. Nonetheless, there is privacy, basic provisions, and it is located conveniently. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
