The hotel itself was ok. Our last morning there there was no hot water. Vianca however was very helpful and gave me some good info on dining and sites to see. She very very pleasant my entire stay and it was well appreciated TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

The best thing about this hotel is Vianca, working at the desk, she was very nice and very helpful since the beginning. I give her all the stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The hotel is in the middle of Chicago close to everything downtown TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This was definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Definitely not the Wyndham experience I am accustomed to. The best and only good thing about this hotel was the desk clerk VIANCA. She WAS AMAZING! If if wasn't for her, this was already an emotional trip as I was seeing my oldest and first to leave the nest grandson off to his college experience in Chicago. it would have been a total disaster. The tub was shaky, the furniture looked as though it was from the 1970's. Though it was not filthy and I guess it was as clean as it could be for the ancient appearance of the furniture, floor, etc. it left a tainted feel to me. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice area within walking distance of Loop

The hotel was in a good location, right by Grant Park and by a lot of the colleges, just a couple blocks over from the loop and State St. The hotel, however, is very old and dated. At one point, I felt like I was in the hotel from The Shining. I expect better from my Wyndham locations. I thought at least the decor would have been updated to Wyndham standards, but everything was old and dated and it had an odor when I got home. The windows were cracked and just had clear tape on them. They should replace the glass, especially since it was a second floor room and it gets very loud from street noise, trucks and the train. I am not sure I would stay here again. I would rather spend money for a good hotel experience than use my Wyndham points or rewards points for this location. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
