Do not go, EVER

Worst place to stay. Sink was clogged, a bunch of fixtures broken, shower would back up and bring up nasty other peoples hair and other stuff from the drain. Shady characters all over the place. Felt like any minute your about to get robbed. People smoking meth in the parking lot. Had a 4 night stay left that place the next morning. Told counter of complaints and apparently nothing was written on the morning and the morning guy had no idea. Was told I will not receive a refund for missing nights. Be warned. Seedy

I'm guessing that most people book this budget hotel because it's across the street from Busch Gardens. That's the only reason to stay here—while our first impression was positive (efficient check-in, nice coordination of colors in the room), it quickly became clear we'd chosen a marginal motel. Just about everything in the room was damaged, the temperature controls on the HVAC unit didn't work properly, and there was no blanket on the bed—just sheets (stained) and a very thin bedspread, making for a chilly night when combined with malfunctioning temperature controls. The smoke alarm had a plastic bag over it for some reason, rendering it essentially useless. The room door didn't close properly, and there was constant noise outside, including what sounded like a military attack and turned out to be fireworks at Busch Gardens, detonated very close by. All in all, this was a rough night for us. I can't recommend this place unless your only interest in the location is proximity to the park. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Family stayed here previously inexpensive. There have been some updates done. One of the workers believe his name was Brian was very helpful and kind. He assisted with directions to where I was going. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great View, Below Average Motel

My son said he finally got to sleep after the riff-raf quit making noises in the parking lot after midnight. It is a place that needed more police patrols. My son said it was a busy place as people coming and going (between 10pm and 1am). The room needs cleaning. Night stand has writings on it. Dressers missing a drawer. And when we got there, people of suspect nature hanging out in parking lot, including what appeared to be a prostitute and her pimp. I’ve worked at hotels in my younger days for over four years, and I had seen that type of activity at one hotel in Oregon. Not a place I would want to stay at, and I was disappointed I had booked my son at this place. Sad part is, there is a Holiday Inn Express right next door. And a far cry better than this place. If you can find a hotel close to Busch Gardens, book it over this one. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Walk to Busch Gardens? DRIVE!

Jul 21st, 2019

This hotel is one of the closest to Busch Gardens so is very tempting...... We stayed here many years ago when it was a Travelodge, it was rough then, it is even worse now. We were upgraded to one of the updated rooms, which is exactly as it was all those years ago! Like others have posted, the place is very run down, dirty, has spider webs around the place and feels downright 'tacky'. I spoke to a police officer who was paid by a local restaurant to hang around in uniform while off duty just to show a police presence to reduce crime and boost customer confidence. I don't want to be mean or nasty to this place, it does suit some people, like workers, truckers and large family's that play loud 'mother Fu**er' type rap music so all can hear around the pool. Sadly this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
