Family stayed here previously inexpensive. There have been some updates done. One of the workers believe his name was Brian was very helpful and kind. He assisted with directions to where I was going. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great View, Below Average Motel

Dec 30th, 2019

My son said he finally got to sleep after the riff-raf quit making noises in the parking lot after midnight. It is a place that needed more police patrols. My son said it was a busy place as people coming and going (between 10pm and 1am). The room needs cleaning. Night stand has writings on it. Dressers missing a drawer. And when we got there, people of suspect nature hanging out in parking lot, including what appeared to be a prostitute and her pimp. I’ve worked at hotels in my younger days for over four years, and I had seen that type of activity at one hotel in Oregon. Not a place I would want to stay at, and I was disappointed I had booked my son at this place. Sad part is, there is a Holiday Inn Express right next door. And a far cry better than this place. If you can find a hotel close to Busch Gardens, book it over this one. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Walk to Busch Gardens? DRIVE!

Jul 21st, 2019

This hotel is one of the closest to Busch Gardens so is very tempting...... We stayed here many years ago when it was a Travelodge, it was rough then, it is even worse now. We were upgraded to one of the updated rooms, which is exactly as it was all those years ago! Like others have posted, the place is very run down, dirty, has spider webs around the place and feels downright 'tacky'. I spoke to a police officer who was paid by a local restaurant to hang around in uniform while off duty just to show a police presence to reduce crime and boost customer confidence. I don't want to be mean or nasty to this place, it does suit some people, like workers, truckers and large family's that play loud 'mother Fu**er' type rap music so all can hear around the pool. Sadly this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Don’t waste your time or money - pay more for somewhere else

Mar 17th, 2019

We decided to book here because it’s adjacent to Busch Gardens and we were only staying 1 night anyway. We booked through and it was around $100. Two words I would use to describe this place are “shady” and “janky.” They let us check in early before we went into the park, which was nice, but they charged us $28 for the privilege. Okay, whatever, it gave us the chance to not leave our stuff in our car, and we could leave our car there instead of paying for parking at the park. As soon as we walked into the room after checking in (which was in the far back corner of the property directly behind the pool), we were hit with a strong moldy/mildewy smell. We turned the air conditioner on for the day, but when we came back at night, the smell was just as strong. But that wasn’t the only issue. Oh no. -The bathroom was “updated” at some point in the past 10 years (floor and shower walls were 99% retiled), but the back of the door and the painted walls were filthy. -The 3 pillows on the bed were the size of throw pillows for a sofa. -There were cigarette burn holes on the comforter, and the comforter itself felt...sticky? Like it had been a long time since it was properly washed. -The air conditioner sits on a block of dirty styrofoam. -The swing latch for the door had no knob on the door to connect to. -The curtains were falling off the track at one end and didn’t close completely, compromising privacy. -The drawer set was falling apart at one end. -The chair was stained and actually still had crumbs from chips or something from a previous guest. -A room a few doors down had a window that had been smashed in and is instead being used for storage. We ended up not staying the night, cancelled our local plans for the following day, and drove the 2+ hours home late at night. We decided that staying was not worth the risk to our health and safety. Tried to dispute the charges, but the place didn’t budge, and ended up giving us a $50 credit towards a stay somewhere else. This place is just an overall health and safety hazard and should be shut down. I wouldn’t even recommend it to anyone’s enemies. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. Dirty doesnt even explain it. Long story short I changed rooms 3 different times. Very dirty smells and air conditioner was loud. I tried to reach a manager on several occasions and there was an excuse everytime, I even left my complaint and contact number. I was also told that the front is where they put "white people" and they reserve the back for the "blacks" i will be contacting the Better business bureau. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
