Amazing experience

Aug 3rd, 2020

We stayed for two nights in July and we were blown away. We had the Pindler cabin which appeared to be one of the more secluded cabins and had private deck with a hot tub looking to the woods. The food was amazing and we really enjoyed the complimentary activities. The best part of the experience was feeling like there were no rules or limitations on the all inclusive nature of the stay. We arrived early the first day to squeeze in more activities and were given a packed lunch to take when we left. You can order as much food or drinks as you want, and they will even provide you with a bottle of whatever you want to take to your room. The staff and servers were incredibly welcoming. You are given a golf cart to drive during your stay that we used to explore the property and search for elk. The one thing we struggled with was the limited reliability of the wifi connection. I want to write this review while I'm suffering from re-entry to the real world so that I can get across how it feels to live in the almost make-believe world of Triple Creek Ranch. Details make perfection and perfection is not a detail. Those must be the words to live by for the staff at TCR. I "suffer"from perfectionism, so finding a place that seems to suffer from that as well is heaven for me. I believe TCR would be heaven for anyone who loves the mountains, possibly even for those who don't. We have been to many mountain resorts, both as a couple and as a family. This is the finest one where we have stayed. It actually tops the Explora Patagonia, which I didn't think would ever be possible. I will give fair warning that this will be a long review, but I think that is the only way to do it justice. The location, lodge and cabins are luxuriously rustic. Every detail has been thought of. We felt like we were in our own home, except one where someone came and decorated with beautiful artwork, furnishings and accent pieces. The lounge actually has silk oriental rugs like I've never seen in a home, let alone a lounge area. We stayed in Stage Stop which is about 1.5 miles away from the main lodge. We loved having the privacy and being surrounded by the horses in the pasture we could view from the deck, but close enough that we could be at the lodge for meals and activities in minutes. If you'd prefer to just walk to the lodge, the cabins near it looked very nice as well. I think you can be as private or as social as you'd like. We loved the privacy of our ranch home, but truly enjoyed all our interactions with both other guests and staff. It was the perfect combination. Which brings me to the meals. We have never had food this consistently good anywhere. We stayed for 5 nights and as much as we didn't want to leave, we may have had to buy new wardrobes had we stayed any longer. If you have a tendency to feel guilty after over-indulging, I suggest losing weight before you arrive. It is impossible not to over-indulge when the food is this good. Every meal had something we had never tried before that was delicious. We loved every bite and drink that we had. Patty and Lucas at the bar were awesome and experts at making a "proper" cocktail and making recommendations. We took home several recipes, although I hope I can come close to making it as good as the chefs there. The activities were fantastic. Our favorites were the cattle drive and the half-day ATV tour at CB Ranch, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything. After trying the logging camp, my husband decided he wants to get a bow and arrow for home. The activities are staffed perfectly. Which brings me to the staff. It's been talked about in most reviews for a reason. They do a great job of hiring the right people. This is not a place like the Ritz Carlton where they do intense training so that each person acts the same way. They let each person be themselves, which comes through as each person being very friendly in such a genuine manner. Everyone seems to truly enjoy working there. I can't remember how many times different staff people unsolicited mentioned how great David (General Manager) and Craig and Barbara Barrett (the owners) are. David took us on a guided hike - what a hand's on manager. We heard about Craig and Barbara frequently and how unassuming they are. It was mentioned several times that they continued to pay the staff even though they were closed down for Covid. Incredibly impressive that they put their people before profits. Speaking of which, they took their Covid precautions seriously and were very on top of things in that respect. I would like to mention everyone with whom we interacted by name, but it would be everyone and I'm not very good with names. I would feel bad about leaving anyone out. In addition, I'm sure there are many people behind the scenes who work hard and don't get specific shout outs. I'll sum it up by saying that there are a lot of amazing places in the world and we don't like to go back to the same place. We will be making an exception in this case and will definitely be going back. Hopefully, again and again... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Better than 5 stars

Jul 20th, 2020

My parents and I traveled to Triple Creek Ranch for a four night stay in mid-July. Our only regret - not planning for more time! The service, activities, art, accommodations, food, and other guests (yes, guests as well) are all +five stars. It is unlike any resort or lodge I’ve stayed prior. I truly commend the staff for creating a community environment where you immediately feel apart of the family. It is apparent they love what they do, which speaks volumes to the leadership (bravo, David!) at the resort. The entire property is filled with art and spectacular views. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the staff and other guests each day. I recommend coordinating with an activity coordinator prior to arrival to plan out your trip. We did this and I’m glad we paperwork whatsoever when we arrived, so we were able to enjoy every minute from arrival to departure. They offer a variety of activities onsite for all seasons. There are not many places I would revisit...only because there are still so many places to see...but I will absolutely return to Triple Creek Ranch one day. Hopefully, in the near future! Come, stay, leave a new person

May 25th, 2020

Came with my sister for a life-detox stay and had the best time. The plate is incredible and we were pampered silly. The food is incredible, the spa treatments decadent and we both left new people. ....I may need to return after all this COVID19 stuff if over and the border is open. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Amazing Hospitality and Adventure in the Montana Rockies!

Feb 3rd, 2020

Feel like you're a personal guest of owners Craig and Barbara Barrett when GM David and his wonderful staff take care of you on their luxury ranch in the beautiful Bitterroot mountains. Ski and horseback ride by day, hot tub and drinks in the evening, and wine and dine at night. It's all included and all fabulous. Thanks David and team for an amazing visit. We can't wait to come back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
