If you want to hear neighbors having sex this is the place UGH

Jan 15th, 2020

I checked in around 8:30 pm. Place gave off a funky vibe, which I like. I’m used to Hilton Garden Inns and I prefer local flair. The front desk worker looked tired and I did my best to chat him up. He even greeted me with a “why?” comment when I said I was checking in. Wasn’t sure if he was trying to be funny. I responded, “sounds like I should be nervous about staying here”. He brushed it off but no amount of smiling or friendly banter seemed to relax him. I get to my room and continue to find everything charming in a quirky way, even the cement floors. I even text my husband telling him how cute the place is and how I’ll stay here when I come back out for business. I get ready for bed and fall asleep at 10 to be awakened by neighbors at 10:30. First it’s just conversation followed by TV and laughter. You can hear EVERYTHING! I put in my EarPods and manage to fall asleep to be awaken 20 minutes later to the sounds of a female orgasming. Seriously! I yell out that I can hear everything because the walls are so f*#%ing thin! I find the earbud that fell out and somehow manage to fall asleep again. Woke up went down to have breakfast which I’m told starts at 7 by the previous days worker to find that breakfast will start closer to 7:45. Thank goodness my meeting didn’t start until 9. Text my husband, forget what I said last night. Looks like I’ll have to at a Hilton Garden next time. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Weekend business trip

Jan 15th, 2020

The location is good. You can hear everything from the hallway, which might not be ideal for light sleepers. Every parking spot in the lot costs $10 a night, not just the ones behind gate, not something I understood from the outset. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I was hoping for a great night. To my surprise, these hotels upkeep seems to be poorly managed, A friend of mine checked into our room, as I like to do in any hotel room I stay- I like to do a quick once over to make sure the room has been cleaned. my first room has empty wine bottles and dirty clothing left in the room. Dirty clothes left in the cabinets where the fridge is stored and clothes still out in the open. this is something that could possibly be overlooked. but the worst part of it all is the stained sheets! Stained sheets are not acceptable for any hotel. I go down to the front desk, speak with the gentlemen at the front desk, he apologized for the room not being clean then switched our room, the next room, fortunately, did not have any left of belonging from the last guest but the sheets on this bed were even dirtier, this was so disgusting I could not stand being in this hotel any longer, this hotel room also had a jacuzzi with brown stains. Bathroom tile is dirty, the windows have not been cleaned and overall a terrible experience with the rooms The hallway had heaters to dry the leaking ceiling, multiple buckets in the hallway to catch dripping water, one ceiling tile fell into the hallway in front of an emergency exit door, no one cleaned it up for at least a day! The front desk guy is the same guy running extra towels to your room as well, this hotel has so much potential, the restaurant is laid out well and beautiful, the hotel needs a lot of maintenance and attention to the decaying walls and frames around the windows. I was very disappointed when I informed both front desk people about my issues and the respnse was---Im sorry there is nothing we can do since you booked through a third party (hotel tonight) & you already received a discount I would love to see this hotel taken care of because it has so much potential as of now i would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. If you are going to charge $180 or more per night for these rooms you must provide a better experience. I would like a refund for my stay. $10 for self-parking to a gate that stayed open all night TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Motel 9 - better than a motel 6 almost as nice as a motel 8 so we call it now MOTEL 9

Jan 1st, 2020

I visited this hotel assigned for business. The hotel was quirky, staff were nice, but I'd NEVER stay there again. The updates are marginal. Nice new bathroom sink, bathtub & toilet. Original tile (splattered paint everywhere), floor not level, tiny rooms, dark halls, doors, walls & light switches were from the 80s (old, painted, etc). Besides the really poor craftsmanship, lighting, etc, the room walls are so thin that we could hear the tv, conversations, and arguments. We had to call security twice (midnight & 12:45 am) for neighbors on either side - music & loud conversations on the other side. I could not believe my company would put us up in this hotel. Work out room decent, although dark, no water even if u brought your own bottle, no coffee in the rooms, co-worker spent $30 for an okay meal. Truly, I felt like we had stopped off the freeway in the middle of nowhere & got a cheap hotel to spend the night. Ie. MOTEL 9, an upgrade to Motel 6. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Too eclectic for its own good

Dec 14th, 2019

Poor design. Rooms feel cold and prison like. This seems like a place where locals come to party. While checking in, I saw three different parties walk in with bags of booze. The room walls are very thin to the point that ear plugs are offered upon check in. Only one of the two, very sketchy elevators was working. The onsite restaurant and sundry shop are incredibly overpriced. They tried to charge one of my party for a cup of hot water!?! Really! The front desk staff are friendly, but they all seem new, and you will get a different answer to your questions from each employee. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
