ive never seen a front desk & a manager that goes out of their way to be rude, stay at twelve at atlantic station, this one downtown is horrible customer service, trust me, u’ll kick urself if u spend your money & get treated the way they treat guests at twelve downtown TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Very nice hotel

We had a king suite. The kitchen was very spacious and nice. The living room comfy and the bed was superb. Business travelers with per diem can use the kitchen to save money and feel a bit like being at home. A great location and awesome space. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Perfect, Perfect, Perfect!

I had never heard of this brand hotel when I was researching my quick 1-night trip to Atlanta area, and the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, but since it is associated with Marriott, I decided to give it a try. Arrived Monday around 6:30 pm, and drove up to front door. My employer doesn't allow Valet Parking, so we have to self-park. I didn't catch the Valet Parker's name, but he was nice as could be, when I explained I needed instructions on how to self-park. He directed me around the building to the self-park garage which shares an elevator into the hotel. After parking, I went to the elevator and hit "lobby." When the doors opened, I wasn't sure where I was, as it just didn't look like a typical hotel lobby. A gentleman saw my perplexed look and quickly came over and addressed me asking if he could help. I explained I was looking for the Twelve Downtown Lobby, and he said "You're here!" He introduced himself as Rahul, and quickly assisted me. He recognized and acknowleged our Platinum Elite status, and asked if I had ever been there before. I explained that I had never even heard of this brand and it was my first time. He was exceptional. Quickly explained details of the hotel and stated I was upgraded to a suite on the Top Floor (#1607). I got a coupon for the Continental breakfast, and another voucher for drinks in a lounge on the 14th floor, for which I only had 15 more minutes to enjoy, as they close at 7:00 pm. I went to my suite, and was astounded at how nice it was. At first I thought they had given me the wrong room-type as I walked into a room with double beds; however, I realized that it was a 2-bedroom suite, and the King-sized bedroom was on the other side of the living room! Best Marriott room I've had in years! Both full bathrooms were very nice with exceptional walk-in showers and good shower pressure. Wonderful toiletries, and very clean. TV's on wall's at foot of beds were at least 42", maybe even 50" models with good selection of standard and premium channels. Barely took time to drop off my suitcase, before I went to the lounge to have a cold beer after a long, 13-hour travel/work day. Another suprise was Peroni Beer (Italian) on draft, along with one other brand which I didn't catch. There were also Italian meatballs, and other snacks available. Shanita was manning the lounge and she also was exceptionally friendly and courteous. They serve the drinks in the smaller cocktail cups, but she gave me two right off the bat. I was trying to be polite, but also in a hurry to have a couple of free beers, since they were supposedly closing in just a few minutes. Shanita noticed when I finished the first one, and politely asked if she could refill for me. Time got away, and I realized it was 7:15 and she hadn't kicked myself and one other guest out of the lounge, as seems normal in other properties with set hours for free drinks/appetizers. Spent another few minutes finishing up the beers and meatballs and made my way back to that luxurious room, after thanking Shanita for her wonderful and friendly service. Free USA Today and Wall Street newspapers were very nice. I was expecting only coffee and rolls the next morning at breakfast, but my polite server explained that the voucher was worth $12, and I could order anything I wanted and just had to pay the difference over $12. They had a 3-egg, sausage/bacon, home fries, and toast option that was exactly $12, and exactly what I wanted. Food and service were excellent. Everyone greeted me with a smile, and everyone was friendly. My biggest regret was that I was only there for one night. How I wish I could've spent the entire week there in that room, with that great service. Kudo's to the management for a great staff. The only negative I can give about this hotel is the slight road noise. It is a downtown hotel near major streets/highways. I was on the top floor and could hear moderate road noise, but not really bothersome at all. Lower floors might be a different story. Will definitely come back to this hotel if I can get my special rate when I return to the Atlanta area! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Hotel was nice and staff was cool, after arrival noticed the room to be very clean and in good order, only problem was We requested toiletries twice and never received the items. Not sure what happened but overall good stay! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

All the rooms are suites. We had a 2 queen bed with sitting area with full kitchen. Our room was clean and comfortable. The service was average. We ordered room service and food was barely OK. We were hungry and the weather and traffic was bad, so we opted for room service. The only major downside of this hotel is that it’s next to a major frwy and the noise is tremendous. We were on the 13th floor. I’m surprised that this was not mentioned in any of the previous reviews that I had read. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
