Resort is close to Universal Orlando's theme parks and the Universal CityWalk entertainment complex
Reservations and amenities come at a high price

Of course Orlando has a Hard Rock resort; this brand is almost a theme park in and of itself. The resort proudly touts more than $1 million worth of music memorabilia from the likes of Elton John, Elvis Presley and Eric Clapton – and that's just the short list. And while you're here, you can create your own music thanks to the Sound of Your Stay program, which allows you to borrow a Fender guitar (plus amps and headphones) for the duration of your stay. Though the property offers its own forms of nightlife, a stay here will also put you within walking distance of the restaurants and clubs found at Universal's CityWalk Plaza. Lodgers vouch for the star-quality treatment that you'll receive in the resort; however, others lamented the expensive rooms and amenities. Accommodations all feature iHome clock radios, Keurig coffee makers and flat-screen televisions. And for an extra dose of R&R, plan on relaxing poolside in a cabana while the kids are kept entertained at Camp Lil' Rock. For most travelers, the best part of staying in the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando is being near the city's best activities. You can walk to Universal's Islands of Adventure and the Universal Orlando Resort

Guests can live like rock stars in stylishly modern rooms, with deluxe bed linens, an entertainment center with flat-panel TV, and lots of accessible media device plugs. The rock and roll artwork in the rooms includes a wall mirror etched with the heights of famous musicians and drumstick graphics. Hotel key cards allow guests to enter parks early and skip the lines.

Besides being the city’s most convenient hotel for any theme park—the two parks are both a 10-minute walk away—the Hard Rock has more perks for the money than most of the city’s similarly priced hotels. Rooms have genuinely funky furniture, tons of mirrors, two sinks (one in and one out of the bathroom), two big beds, and music systems.

Frommer's Exceptional

The 650-room upscale Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort is a fun, funky, rock-and-roll-themed hotel that offers priority access to the Universal theme parks. Designed to give guests the 'rock-star feeling,' there are tons of kid-friendly activities, including a kids' club, arcade, and children's pool.

Travel + Leisure

The closest to the action of the three on-site Universal hotels, the Spanish Mission–style Hard Rock, managed by Loews, is a 10-minute walk from Universal Studios and from the CityWalk nightlife zone.

You'll be singing your favorite rock 'n roll tune as you walk around the music inspired hotel. The property is decorated with memorabilia, pictures and clothing from all time favorite musicians.
