Loews Pacific Resort, Everything You'd Want for a Great Vacation.
Oct 23rd, 2020
Having done Loews Portofino last year ( the flagship of the Loews resorts), we were disappointed that it was closed because of the Covid 19. We took a chance on Royal Pacific and now it's going to be difficult to go anywhere else. From the moment you get there you get the very real sense that your not in "Orlando" anymore. You are completely immersed in a south pacific tropical paradise. Beautifully designed and quite expansive. Having to personally work with a mask I know how difficult it can be. The workers there were all so cheerful, kind, and helpful under these difficult circumstances. And you never had to look far to find someone cleaning the elevator, doorknobs, countertop, etc. The resort takes the precautions seriously and that makes you feel relaxed and confident about your stay. They have an assortment of dinning options as well as a large well stocked food and drink market. Our favorite eatery was Jakes Bar and Restaurant. Excellent food and drink, attentive servers, and what's not to like about sitting outside and being surrounded by lush vegetation and a waterfall! The amenities such as the pool and gym are first rate. The pool has a real beach theme (sand included) and the gym is well stocked and immaculate. Lockers and showers available and although they were not open at this time, I look forward to a return visit and trying out the steam room, sauna, or my favorite the hot whirlpool. Of course your disgustingly close to Universal Studios. The boat to and from the studio comes often or you can take a nice walk along the well manicured path. It actually makes for a good run if you wish to jog out to Loews Portofino and back. Very safe and enjoyable. Your stay includes a free fast pass and if you've never had one it makes all the difference in the world. One final point is if your a dog owner they are a dog friendly resort. Not dog tolerate, but dog FRIENDLY. They've allocated a huge, well manicured grassy area for the dogs to run around in with benches and sculpture included. A very generous "goodies" bag and i would say no less than 6 times during our stay did a worker stop to comment on the dog or ask to pet our dog. So if your a responsible dog owner, this is the place for you. As I said earlier, it would be hard to not come back to either Portofino or Royal Pacific .I guess my wife and I will just have to plan on one in the spring and the other in the fall. The experience is just that good. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

As a man of the Polynesian Culture, my wife thought it would be good idea for me to visit a place with a Polynesian for my 52nd birthday. From the time I stepped into the lobby, I couldn't stop smiling. Joey checked us in, she was soo helpful and friendly. Frankie at Bula's was hands down one of the best bartenders we've met..At poolside, Haley and Danielle's customer service was by far the best experience we've had while at the Royal Pacific. Mind you....my wife and I travel a lot and stay at numerous hotels in and around the Orlando area.. The management team should be very proud of these amazing people. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to another trip here in December. Mahalo Nui Loa!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My family and I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. The decor is warming, the staff were friendly and the room itself was big & clean. We needed extra towels and housekeeping had it at our door w/in 10 minutes. The pool area was also fun.. the sand area makes you feel like your on a beach.. When you stay here you also get to visit Universal Studios an hour before they actually open to the public so that’s a big plus for us. They also have a trolley type boat (free) that will take you to and from City Walk and Universal Studios. Overall a nice place to stay TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Lovely Resort - Gross Room

We stayed at the Royal Pacific for my daughter's birthday trip and were very disappointed. The resort itself is lovely - the pool was great if a bit crowded (hot tub closed due to covid), shops are nice, coffee shop is well-stocked and good, ect. The staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the convenience of being so close and having the option to use the water taxis (usually faster just to walk though). The biggest perk is having the early entry and the Express Passes. The attention to COVID safety was GREAT - masks required and enforced, daily temperature checks (you get a band saying you've been checked), hand sanitizer everywhere. However the room was awful. Even without the cleanliness issues the rooms are very small (good luck having room to move AT ALL if you need a rollaway!), the bathroom is TINY and overall underwhelming. I travel extensively for work and have stayed in Holiday Inns that would put this to shame. But the cleanliness issues were unacceptable. The desk chair in the room had peeling/flaking "leather" - couldn't sit on it without it getting on your clothes. The footstool/ottoman thing had a nasty stain on it (as did one down the hall - watched the guy slam it down as we walked past saying "that's disgusting!"). There were permanent rings on the dresser and table tops. The ironing board was covered in white flaky stuff. There was a brown stain on the doorway in the bathroom. The tub faucet was very loose and was barely attached to the wall. The tub looked like it had a permanent ring around it. When my daughter went to take a bath the overflow valve on the tub had black mold come out of it and all in the bathwater. When we complained to the front desk they had housekeeping come up to clean the bathroom & tub again while we were at the parks. Still had black stuff come out of the overflow valve! We just bought the FL Resident "Return Every Day Till Dec 24) passes and had planned on returning this weekend with just my husband and I for our anniversary. Sadly we will be staying off-property - I'd rather pay 1/2 the price for the Hampton Inn across the street and KNOW it will be clean! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
