at the Vail Mountain Lodge
Nice hotel/Great location

My husband and I recently went to Vail. We stayed at the Vail Mountain Lodge. It is a nice hotel. It is close to shops, restaurants, and one of the ski lifts. There is a bus stop down the street from the hotel too. We had a nice room. The room was big enough for the two of us, and the bathroom was big and nice. The only problem with the room was where the toilet was located. It is in a separate area with a window in this little area. Not much heat goes in that area, and being right by a window, that area got very cold. The toilet seat was always so cold!! There is a pretty nice gym area with a hot tub and sauna downstairs. Guests staying at Vail Mountain Lodge have access to it too. We worked out there one night. We also had breakfast included. It was ok. It was the same thing every single day. We thought that they might switch it up a little, but they didn't. The potatoes were always a little over cooked, and the eggs always seemed a little cold. However, it was nice to just go downstairs and eat breakfast (not have to go out somewhere to eat). TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Had a great massage at the spa. Lovely setup, clean, with amazing steam shower to get you loose. Felix my masseur was the reason I am writing the review - he was attentive and made sure to use the proper amount of pressure, and helped me make sure I was getting the best experience possible. Recently came back from a 4 day stay. Location is great. Around the corner from Vail Village where there’s great eating and shopping and a short walk to the gondola. Overnight ski storage included in your room rate although boot/bag storage is not but is available. The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the fireplace and really appreciated the very clean humidifier which was filled every day by housekeeping. The staff was friendly, helpful and seemed happy to be there. Ate at Terra Bistro for dinner and it was delicious! Had drinks at the bar a few nights and were welcomed by name after night one. Used the downstairs gym and outdoor hot tub. Not the nicest I’ve ever seen but totally fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great location and value

I stayed in off season and I love this location. The hotel is perfectly situation in the village but nicely tucked away on the river. Terra Bistro in the hotel is a great restaurant and they have a massive gym/spa that guests have access to. One of the best lesser known options in the village. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Beautiful but ...

This place has gorgeous views and really pretty amenities - like big bathrooms, rooms, a nice fireplace, but I really thought for the area it would have been a bit cleaner. It may have been because it was in the off-season, but my bathroom and the dining area had me second-guessing how clean the rest of the place was. This and the beds being as hard as a rock - has me thankful I stayed once but probably won't return. Oh... another plus was the employees were super friendly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
