End of season still running strong

Nov 20th, 2019

We visited the very end of the season for two days of golf, we enjoyed our stay so much we extended to play golf on four days. The staff was not burned out at the end of the long sason, every station wether bar, restaurants, recption, driver, concierge, receptionists, cady master, green keepers, room maintenance or spa staff everyone gave its best and lived the spirit of RF. The food was excellent, breakfast the best we ever encountered in Italy, the golf course well maintained with superior greens. Our oceanfront suite was excellent. There are no minuses - you might name the price - yet consider the qualities you get. The reconstruction of the crippled golf corse will add quality also in this field we will be back after its reopening 2020. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Out of Season Visit

Nov 18th, 2019

Overall 5 star hotel, service and setting. Staff all highly professional, polite and go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Only two minor complaints - the limited choice of meals if visiting out of season, and the 'free' internet service is unusable (my 3G phone was faster) - so opt for the paid internet service. Ruinously expensive but worth it for family relaxation

Nov 16th, 2019

We booked this place at the end of our Sicily trip for 4 nights lured in by the promise of the Kids Club creche which meant we'd be able to have some couple time, hurrah! Tackling the big downside first...it is ruinously expensive for those of us paying in pounds (which may explain the abundance of Germans and Americans, and paucity of Brits!) and you're a captive audience so charges are high even for things that are cheap as chips in Italy like gelato and pasta; consider that a bottle of water will set you back EUR6 (please, Verdura, provide filtered water for free, you're a luxury resort, you can do it!), the creche service is EUR20 an hour, cocktails start around EUR16 etc. If you can get over that or money is no object, here's the upsides... 1) Our room (the most basic) was absolutely huge, with great view, walk in wardrobe, giant bathroom and plenty of room for cot 2) the SPA is UNBELIEVABLE! Probably the biggest hammam steam room I've ever seen, 4 outdoor thalassotherapy pools, indoor pool, steam rooms etc and this is all free for guests to use so make the most of it 3) the Kids Club was fab with absolutely wonderful, friendly, competent staff, and it provides a nice space for the little ones to stay and play (either with you or without you, for a fee for under 3s), which seems to be a rare thing if you're travelling with small children. So, overall worth it, but comes at a price! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beutiful Sicily!

Nov 15th, 2019

Sun, sea and golf, surrounded by art, culture and extraordinary landscapes. The amazing temples of Selinunte just a few kilometers away... The structure looks old but nice and clean. The rooms are large and with amazing views and Sunsets! At the restaurant everything was so good. Even a really great pizza! One of the best pizza ever. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

EXTRAORDINARY PEACEFUL STAY

Nov 6th, 2019

Great, peaceful stay. Extra comfortable rooms. Great friendly staff. Luxurious food. Windy. Sea is excellent but changes from day to day. One day crystal clear and the next day disturbingly wavy and blur. There are many bicycles free to ride scattered all around, something I liked very much and I am not very used to. In short, loved it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
