Badly-run self-catering apartments in a location with a huge potential

Dec 24th, 2020

Even though Villa Moro Lin is marketed as a Venice location, it is not very easy to get to Venice from the Villa. The Villa is a very nice classical Venetian villa in a lovely green setting, but is also very run down and badly managed. During our week-long stay, we have been made to change room 3 times. These are some of the problems we have had to face while staying there: 1. No instructions as to how to use central heating panel; 2. Broken window panes; 3. Broken bathroom heating unit; 4. Very uncomfortable mattress; 5. Gas hobs that were supposed to be self-igniting but did not work; 6. Dirty rooms that were cleaned superficially but with dust and cobwebs in easily accessible places that should have been easy to clean; 7. Dishwasher in the third room did not work; 8. Noisy early morning gardening; 9. Clogged bathroom drains. All in all, for the price we had paid, we could have found so much better. Not something I would recommend to anyone, which is a real pity as the place has huge potential. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful Castle

Apr 2nd, 2018

Albeit quite a distance from Venice itself, we had absolutely no regrets in choosing this location! It was a good change from the hustle and bustle of the main city. Antonio, the owner of the vila, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. He suggested informative options of what we could do from the very 1st day. As we were rather tired when we first arrived, he drove us to a nice small city centre to have the local delights such a pizza and wine (again no obligation to do so - just a very friendly gesture). It was a nice walk back and we got to see how the venecians lived which was very different from the touristy places. Room was breathtakingly beautiful and spacious. Ceilings were high and there were many windows to absorb the serene surroundings. Bed was clean and comortable and so were the bathroom. Everything was spot on and clean. There was daily house keeping as well which did a good job. I will definitely suggest to travellers to check out this vila as this is an amazing escape to enjoy some peace and comfort. There is a straight bus no. 80 to bring you to and fro to Venice itself. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Thank you so much!

Have just checked from a long weekend at the Villa Moro Lin today and could not fault it. Everything we asked for was met with a friendly response and superb service. The apartment we had was modern, comfortable and cosy. Don't be put off by the distance from Venice, we were given a route on check in which was very straight forward and only cost 1.50euros. The local bus stop is literally outside the property. A fabulous stay, thank you so much! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Quiet Location, Clean Apartment with good facilities.

Aug 6th, 2016

We booked Villa Moro as it was close to the airport (20mins drive) and we did not want to go into Venice itself. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised. We were shown a one bedroom apartment complete with kitchen and a sofa bed for our kids. The unit also had a huge private courtyard just off the kitchen which was entirely for our use. The apartment was spacious with lovely modern furniture and a nice bathroom. It was fully equipped witb everythjng you need for a longer stay, pitty we were there for just one night. We were able to use the hotels bikes to ride to the supermarket which was an easy 10mins ride away. Along the way there is a local restaurant that serves up Greek food! The hotel has an amazing outdoors area to relax. The pool is fab for the kids to swim while there are plenty of sun beds to read a good book or catch 20 winks. My only complaint was the air-conditioning in our apartment was not working properly and because of that we had a horrible nights sleep. It was like a furnace in the bedroom as there was only one AC unit to cool down the entire apartment which was located in the main sitting area. We were able to get a ride to the airport in the owners private car for 25Euro, this was a great service. Local teabspirt is also readily available a few metres from the hotel entrance. I would certainly return to Villa Moro Lin but hope next time the Air-conditioning problems have been sorted. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A quiet and extraordinary place to get away from Venice crowds

Aug 5th, 2016

All the logistics worked really well - we got the room we booked ( nice, spacious, tidy, with big terrace). The location was ideal - very comfortable connection to Venice by public transport (40 min). It was so good to get back to this beautiful place after the crowds and heat of Venice. We were using the pool when back - very refreshing ( pool is kept really clean). We will surely repeat the experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
