Not the Same

Feb 2nd, 2020

We’d stayed here several times but it has been years. The new spa is wonderful, the services unique, the site lovely, and my therapist Monica, very good. The remodeled rooms with their modern fireplaces lack the charm of the old buildings. The walls are thinner. The bathroom is large and well-appointed though we could never get the fan to turn off — even after calling for engineering. The staff were mostly friendly, and the rooms were very clean, but they lacked the personality and warmth that we remember. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Lovely hotel, rooms, restaurants and ambiance!

We stayed at the Vintner's Inn by mistake - and couldn't have been happier! The rooms were lovely - ask for one overlooking the fountains. There was even a small room with tea all day long where we played cards in the evening and a fireplace (It rained the whole time we were there so the warmth was welcome.)The front desk staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The food in all the restaurants was outstanding. We will go back in warm weather to experience the rest of the amenities! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Worth the price

Dec 15th, 2019

The Vintners Inn (now called Vintners Resort) is an oasis just north of Santa Rosa near the heart of Sonoma County wine country. Conveniently located immediately off of Highway 101 but you would not know it was so close because of their expertly designed landscaping and their somewhat European, separately placed one- or two-level buildings. Lots to see and do here. Someone put a lot of thought into the layout. Very relaxing place to stay for several nights. They recently expanded the Inn with a spectacular spa which probably prompted them to change the name to a “resort”. Rather pricey, but worth the splurge for special occasions. We’ve been there over a half dozen times and will return. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

WOW!

Oct 23rd, 2019

This hotel exceeded expectations. The rooms are immaculate, the grounds are beautiful. I went jogging behind the hotel and was amazed by the natural beauty. Areas for improvement include: The front desk staff is aloof and not welcoming as they are in other parts of the country. Also: if you choose to work out inside, their gym is about the size of my closet. It needs an expansion. Other than that I had great sleep, great mattress, wonderful bathroom, good view. And I loved the chocolate cookies on the bed on first night. Nice touch! I will definitely return for another visit in the future. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing

This was our third visit to the Vintners Inn. We love Sonoma and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The property is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are friendly and they provide a few nice touches like a free bottle of wine in your room when you arrive. It's a relaxing environment and a great location for visiting wine country. I'd recommend Vintners Inn to anyone looking for a slightly upscale place to stay while visiting Sonoma. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
