Won't Stay Here Again

Chose this hotel because we were travelling with a pet, had just come off a fairly spendy business trip we hadn't been reimbursed for yet and I was trying to keep expenses down. Check-in was okay. Room was rundown - toilet was ancient, didn't flush properly; cracking plaster; office chair was broken; gasket on fridge did not seal; there was ice on the floor *inside* the door our arrival. Hallways were cold. Arrived on Dec. 24 with a Dec. 26 checkout. As we left Christmas morning to visit our son for the day, the clerk asked if we were checking out and we reminded him that our checkout wasn't until the next day, Dec. 26. Got back that evening to find our keycards deactivated, so it appears that he checked us out anyway. Went back up to the front desk to have the cards rekeyed and there was no clerk to be found anywhere. Stood there for 40 minutes waiting, tried to call half a dozen times with no answer and no ability to leave a message (it would beep, and then hang up a few seconds later), multiple *others* calling in with no answer. At one point I told my husband we could just go to another hotel but we couldn't even get in the room to get our stuff or even see if it was still there, and a man who was sitting on the couch said he could get us in there - cue concerns about security. When the clerk *finally* came back 40 minutes later, she offered an excuse about having to change sheets for an elderly lady. I get that, but that does NOT take over 40 minutes. Breakfast was worthless - my husband is diabetic and I cannot have gluten; there was nothing that either of us could eat. We went into the room to check it and someone came in and told us that we weren't even allowed to be in there, that we had to ask one of them to get everything for us - in a state that is supposed to be open for business, and a situation where there was literally NO OTHER PATRON IN THE ROOM, so there were no issues with 6' distancing. Pretty sure there are people actually living there. Management seems non-existent. I did get a phone call about my complaint regarding being locked out of the room, but it was more along the lines of expecting us to just suck it up and deal because "it was Christmas and no one wants to work on Christmas so we're short-staffed and she's doing everything on her own". It still should NOT take over 40 minutes to change one set of sheets, and the attitude that we didn't matter at all was palpable. Will not be staying here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I appreciated the clean room the housekeeper Robin Grant gives excellent service by making sure my room was clean and stocked throughout all my stays here Very much appreciated. As i have had to travel and stay in fargo area due to family medical appointments. It was because of Robin Grants superb service I choose Baymont every time I have to travel and stay in the fargo area TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Was very busy in the lot. The girl at the desk Desiree was most helpful getting us checked in fast and very knowledgeable and got all our questions answered. She made us feel welcomed and gave us a rundown of the area for food and games. She made our stay pleasant. And will come again in the spring! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Our room was just what we needed for the night, was clean and the price was just right! The lady at the front desk I believe her name was Deserae she did a great job checking us in and catering to our needs as guests. It's nice to see as we travel quite often. Baymont by Wyndham in Faro ND. I met a front desk receptionist her name is Desiree she was very professional and went out her way to make my family feel so welcome. I really enjoyed her from the day I was having and she sent me off with a smile! Thank you so much and I would recommend this hotel to anyone .. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
