The staff are what make it GREAT!!
Dec 27th, 2020
We stayed 2 nights the first night was a Christmas gift from my husband. I have always wanted to stay here and was trying to get my family to come stay Dec 23 24 and leave after doing Christmas gifts on the morning of the 25th but wasn't able to get my mom on board so I was super excited when I opened my gift on Christmas morning and it was a card with the reservation for Christmas night!! I called and talked to a girl to find out how soon I could check in and since the hotel was slow they let us check in early!! And from the first contact with the hotel staff it was nothing but spectacular!! Actually wait when I called back in October to get rates and figure out logistics for the family to come I spoke to Kyle and he really set the bar high!! The first room was a spectacular king and it was a beautiful room but I was hoping for a tub so we upgraded to a suite and WOW!! I have so many wonderful things to say but I do not have enough room for it all but it was such a great night that we extended our stay another night and brought our daughter and her friend down and the kids had a blast!! The staff we really helpful and welcoming to the teenager's too!! Every time we walked past the desk we were always greeted with smiles and kind words. Now I was excited to be here and my daughter was also excited but the staff seemed to also be just as excited and happy to see us! They were excited for us. No with us!! No matter what our request was Every one seemed genuinely happy to make this an epic Christmas getaway! Whether we were asking for more blankets or sleep masks and ear plugs ( I snore and my daughter is dramatic the hotel was really quiet we heard no outside noise and couldn't hear our neighbors and there were a couple celebrations that 2nd night but we heard nothing!!) I really can not say enough, Kyle, Eric and Sam as well as the valet ( who actually let us know self parking was free and directed us to it when we were asking the price for valet and over night costs. He was happy to share a money saving tip!!) there was at least 1 more front desk agent we worked with but I did not get their name sorry!! But if u r gonna stay in a downtown Bellevue hotel this is definitely the spot!! Thank u guys for making our weekend one to remember! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We were blown away with the attention to the customer. Matthew Schulman went out of his way to make our stay memorable. His energy and genuine interest in serving customers was amazing. We can’t wait to come back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Design Flaws Galore - couples only
Oct 9th, 2020
Cool vibe and great location, but major design flaws. From the confusing parking with multiple elevators, to the room front door that enters in to the bathroom, everything is very odd. Perfect for couples. Odd for families or friends due to the lack of privacy. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Potential Guest Beware!
Sep 13th, 2020
It's so important to practice cleanliness and guest care always in a hotel, and especially at times where it's important to be trusted by visitors during a pandemic! The wildfires have brought a smoke cloud into Washington, so my wife and I decided it would be best to stay a few days in a hotel where we could have conditioned air and closed windows. We chose the W because it is in a high-end part of town and is listed amongst the newer hotels. Upon check-in there was an obvious staff shortage as quests were lined up with social distancing. I was surprised to see additional staff behind closed check-in stands, without helping the one person that was checking people in. Once assigned to our room, we settled in and was startled to find lip gloss and tissue from previous guests on the floor near our bed. How clean can a room be and how could Covid 19 protocols be in place with such an obvious miss in cleanliness standards. In the morning after a not so restful sleep, all this was accentuated by my wife pointing out the amount of dust on the window sills of our room. I went downstairs and talked to the young lady at the desk about our findings. She was apologetic and offered to move us to another room for our second-day stay, on the same floor, and after the housekeeping manager checks and approves it. We gladly accepted the apology and the new room. That evening the phone in our room rang and the young lady checked on our satisfaction. She also without prompting told us that a $75 breakfast voucher was put on our account so that we could order breakfast in, the next morning. We awoke at 8:30 and ordered breakfast at 9am. We waited until 11 and our breakfast never came. We decided to check out and not spend another minute at such a poorly managed property! The front desk attempted to apologize again however our trust has been destroyed at this time and empty apologies are just that! I don't advise staying here for any reason or occasion. Our years of loyalty to the Marriot brands has been truly damaged by understaffing, poor if not present at all management, and dirty rooms. BEWARE! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
The Staff And Location Are Wonderful

I jut love staying at the W in Bellevue! It is a short walk to Nordstrom and the Rack is literally just out the door! The Lake House Restaurant is incredible, too! During COVID, they take all precautions and their room service menu is delicious! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
