This hotel was extremely dirty and decadent. The elevators were dirty whit a lot of hairs on the floor and. The elevators we’re also non-functioning and we risked more than once to be stuck inside and although we pointed out the fact to the reception they “resolved” the problem just giving a hit to the elevators so nothing changed and we couldn’t use them. So we tried to use the stairwell and we were shocked cause it seemed a construction site and we wouldn’t be surprised to find rats The Lobby were also extremely dirty which dog hairs on the sofas so we couldn’t even sit down on them. The rooms, although they seem so be clean and modern on the site, Were old, dirty (in our room THE DOOR WAS BROKEN)and the cleaning was very superficial. The hair dryer didn’t work so we asked to change it but the second hair dryer didn’t work either. The second single bed we booked wasn’t a real bed but just a cot (the kind of cot you can found camping ). In addition, despite we explicitly asked to the reception and they assured us that the drinks from the mini-bar were included in our pack, not only they obliged us to pay for that but also, since they didn’t do the refilling for the next two days, they FORCED US TO PAY AS IF WE CONSUMED THE DRINKS FROM THE MINI-BAR FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS. So this hotel it’s better to close and to stop delude people who expect to stay in a four stars hotel because this hotel is not even a two stars hotel. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I booked on Hotwire, so there’s always a bit of risk BUT I was thrilled to stay in this hotel. Great rooms, comfy beds, nice lobby with bar and restaurant. Also, 24 hour coffee in the lobby FREE with a nice big coffee machine. Cappuccino? Yes! Macchiato? Yes! Americano? Yes! Definitely will stay again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms! In NYC???? Wow! The Tuscany is a great hotel and is centrally located in midtown. The staff was helpful and our New Year's Eve get-away was excellent. The rooms were quiet too. Can't wait to go back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice quiet hotel away from the rush, but close enough to feel a part of it all.

I stayed over the weekend at The Tuscany. It was a lovely stay. The most COMFORTABLE hotel bed I have ever slept in. It was a super convenient location, right around the corner from Grand Central and just a hop away from 5th Avenue. I had a few issues, my phone was not hooked up, shower wall hook fell off, missing drawer facade...but management has offered to upgrade my room next time I come to the city which is a lovely gesture. Concierge was great at arranging private cars for me, and my late lunch at the attached restaurant was just lovely. Overall a nice experience. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
A Diamond in the Rough!

As others have said, big rooms, friendly staff, easy check in. The elevators HAVE now been renovated and are just perfect. Our room was right by the elevator (1105) and we didn't hear a thing, so they've insulated well. Shower was hot and strong (don't we all love that?), comfortable bed and pillows, free coffee drinks 24-hours a day in the lobby, delicious bar bites and restaurant dishes, terrific location on the East Side...literally, six blocks to Bryant Park and without those TSQ crowds. Back to the bar--fun bartenders and generous which makes a nice moment after walking around NYC all afternoon! Staff can make or break a hotel and The Tuscany folks were all helpful, polite, fun and informative. My only regret is that I feel I have tell everyone about this because they deserve the praise but I just hate sharing a great find because then you'll all go there and I can't get a room! Oh well, have fun! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
