What you'd expect of a Waldorf Astoria
Oct 12th, 2020
I had an amazing stay. Got a room with a view of the Berlin Zoo which was nice. At a very convenient location for me too, with lots of eateries nearby. Value for money as compared to some of the other WA's I've been to. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Waldorf Astoria Berlin : a place to call my own
Sep 16th, 2020
Waldorf Astoria Berlin is much more than a Hotel. It s an icon of a unique city. To live in it is to feel the vibrant community's pulse, strong identity, and touching history. I am a world traveler, an experienced explorer, but this Hotel will be part of my most treasured memories. Intoxicating views where the ultramodern buildings merged with exuberant nature and a historic church, a dramatical symbol of WW2, and the rebirth of a civilized nation. I Explored the depths of its history from the height of luxury in design style and way of living. What makes the Waldorf Astoria unforgettable is the remarkable people. Its exceptional Team embodied the art of hospitality at its best. A real family , a Team with a warm and welcoming heart l. A place I will call my own for the times to come. Waldorf Astoria Berlin is my second home, my retreat, a blissful nurturing for body and mind. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great customer service. We were upgraded (following request) so ended up in the luxurious junior suite. Very well located. Will definitely come again. Can't wait to come back again in the near future! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Deserves 5stars if it were not for COVID-19
Aug 18th, 2020
Obviously traveling during COVID-19 times is going to have an impact on any hotel - the Waldorf was no exception but the staff did their very best to minimize the impact while adhering to new protocols. Every staff member I encountered was both very polite but also unobtrusive, the sign of a well run establishment. The hotel was spotlessly clean, both in the lobby and the room. The room (king with a view on the 9th floor) was well appointed and very comfortable. You know you are down to the details when your only complaint is that there are no USB charger points for you phone (1st world problems...). Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was that the Lang Bar was no longer open as I personally love that kind of bar but having a drink up on the 15floor overlooking Berlin was a decent compromise. The location of the hotel was a bit of a high and low; great for downtown, shops, restaurants, the zoo, the train station etc. Being near to the train station is often a mixed blessing, convenient but it can attract those less fortunate in life so if that bothers you, be aware. All in all a very pleasant two day and I certainly would return but I might wait until that bar is open again! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
