What an amazing hotel with such helpful and kind staff. From Kim, the manger down to the cleaners no one could do enough for us. I wish we could remember everyones name who made a difference to our hols....Ryan, Steven, Andre, Crystal and others on reception. The food was wonderful at both resturantants and lovely cafe. Once again great staff too many to mention. Loved the wraps and sandwiches. We had a duplex ocean front view room which was fantastic. Bedroom downstairs and lounge with a balcony upstairs. The view was to die for! We hope to see you soon...just have to work on the husband! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
2nd visit as good as the first!

We visited Waves last year to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary and the whole experience was exceptional, so good in fact that we returned with our 13 year old daughter for 10 days this year. The hotel is situated in a great location on the West Coast and the ocean view rooms offer an amazing view, we watched 3 turtles feeding literally straight beneath us one morning. The drinks and food are fantastic as are all the staff that serve them, I’m not one for singling people out but Chadderton behind the bar is a real asset to the hotel. The beach service and water sports are equally impressive, including free motorised water sports which were readily available without booking days in advance. The complimentary spa treatments are also very good and easily booked if you organise early in your holiday. Sitting on the outside deck at Waves drinking a rum sour is a truly memorable experience, can’t wait for next year...... TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Recently stayed at the Waves Resort and Spa in Barbados and was really impressed with the whole experience right down from the General Manager to the staff maintaining the services and attention you receive whilst staying there. The food and drink choices were never ending and enjoyable. Being all inclusive allowed you to concentrate on getting the most out of your holiday break and not worry about where you were going to eat and drink each day. The staff were exceptional in so much that they were there to make sure you were on holiday and enjoying it, always smiling and giving you exceptional service. The never ending supply of drinks by the pool or on the beach allowed you to get the most out of enjoying the sunshine and water. The Ocean View Junior Suite gave you enormous space in which to get spectacular views of the ocean from the balcony whilst enjoying the regularly stocked in room mini bar. An excellent holiday choice from start to finish and highly recommended. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My wife and I have recently returned from a 5 night stay (wish it had been longer!) at this amazing hotel, having decided to stay here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As this was our first time in Barbados, we had no idea what to expect, but did have reasonable expectations that this would be a good hotel from the numerous outstanding reviews. All I can say is that we were not disappointed!! All of the staff at this property are amazing. From arrival to departure, they ensure your needs are catered for, and will go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Check-in was a breeze, and the "welcome to the hotel" rum punch was most welcome after a lengthy flight. We had booked an ocean view room, and were given a room on the 2nd floor which did indeed have a breathtaking view of the ocean! The room itself was modern and large enough, with all mod cons. A lovely comfortable bed being the centre piece of the room. We only eat in the Seascape restaurant and coffee shop across the lobby bar. Variety and quality of food was good. We are not "fancy" eaters, and there was always something available for us to eat. As others have mentioned, there is often a fresh cooking station at meal times - eggs, omelettes and pancakes at breakfast, pasta, noodles and Caribbean rotis for lunch - lovely!!! We used the beach everyday, and didn't bother with the pool areas. Whilst the beach is small, it is lovely and clean. Getting a lounger was no problem, and even if there were none free, the beach ambassadors would soon get one ready for you. The service by the beach ambassadors was truly amazing. Despite the heat, they are always there with whatever drinks have been ordered, cold towels, ice cream, fresh fruit and always cheerfully going about their jobs. Watersports are part of the all-inclusive deal and available on the beach; the guys will always ask whether you're up for it or not, and will not be offended if you say no. The managers cocktail party is another good touch. Kim, the general manager will walk round the lobby bar and talk to the guests to ensure that they are all having a good time, and asking whether anything can be improved on - an excellent idea. There is also a spa across the road, but we did not get a chance to use that due to our short stay! This hotel surpassed our expectations. The food and drink is good, but the staff at the hotel are the real stars. They make the whole experience so much better and ensured that we will be back to Barbados and will look no further than the Waves Hotel for our accommodation needs. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
