We had an amazing time, loved the small feeling of the Inn, felt well cared for, and found the hotel and setting beautiful, relaxing, and a luxurious place to stay. Loved biking, kayaking and the pool. The room was small but very nice and the bed was super comfortable. The service was amazing. Also great that you can use the beach at Ocean House too. Pretty and quaint inn on the water

Jul 2nd, 2019

Stayed here for business and wished I could have been here for pleasure. Not sure I could afford being here for pleasure, but it is certainly a very nice place. The room I stayed in was one of their largest suites, which wasn’t supposed to be my room, but was really fantastic as a suite for a full family. The inn had really great views of the salt water pond where it is located, with folks clamming in the shallows each of the three and half days I was there. The services and amenities were very nice, but the restaurant cooking could have been better - most of the food was a little overdone to be honest. It’s an upscale place in an upscale area, including a very posh pool area overlooking the pond, with rooms above a conference room (where I was for the whole stay) overlooking the pool. I would recommend it for an upscale stay for a small party. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Ocean Naturalist Weekend - A Great Escape

Jun 23rd, 2019

We stayed two nights at the Weekapaug Inn to attend the “Weekend of the Spawning Moon”. We have previously stayed here for a murder mystery weekend. We have never been disappointed by a Relais & Chateaux property. The Weekapaug is my personal favorite. It is a quiet, peaceful escape set on a beautiful salt water pond but a close walk to the ocean as well. From the minute you arrive you are taken care of. Everyone that works here is genuinely kind, welcoming and attentive. They show you to your room which are beautiful. Everything you could need is available in the Inn, there are beverages and snacks available on the third floor throughout the day (they said the chocolate chip cookies were the best ever and they were not lying!) There are quiet spaces around the entire inn to sit and read, do puzzles, enjoy the outdoors or just do nothing. We like nature events and environmental programs and thoroughly enjoyed, Mark, the naturalist at the inn and the nature activities that you can do. We went kayaking for the morning and got to enjoy all of the wildlife on the pond. On Saturday evening we enjoyed a presentation by Mark on the Horseshoe Crab and then went out on the pond after dark to see them spawning. The inn provides you with waders and flashlights and everything you need to be comfortable. It was a great way to experience this. It is clear that Mark loves what he does and was so knowledgeable it was just a pleasure to spend time with him. The food is also excellent. We had breakfast each morning at the Restaurant which has great outdoor seating so that you can enjoy the early morning. We had dinner at the Brasserie which was excellent and the staff was wonderful. The seafood is delicious – we had the lobster and the scallops but the gnocchi was unbelievable! The attention to detail and the peaceful ambiance just make this the perfect getaway, you feel like you have stepped into another time. We will definitely be returning and look forward to partaking in future events hosted at the Weekapaug. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Really underwhelming

Apr 28th, 2019

The building and the setting are beautiful and the staff is well-intentioned enough, but that’s all I can say that is positive. The room we stayed in (26) was minuscule. The heat is from geothermal so you can’t adjust the individual heat in your room. There is no minibar so you can’t just help yourself to a juice or soda. It took 45 minutes to get a juice with room service. We then tried to get dinner and were told the kitchen was closed for room service (it was 9 PM). The shower was nice but the bed was not super comfortable. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. Again it took a while. I am pretty sure I was served instant coffee (inside a French press but the instant coffee granules were still not fully dissolved). It would have all been ok if this was $200/night. At $500+, I’m not coming back! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Serenely Beautiful

Apr 21st, 2019

Visited over Easter weekend when it rained the entire weekend. We still enjoyed the lace with lots of sitting area, great food, guitar player in the bar area. Great service, greeted us by name at every meal. Rode bikes over to the Watch Hill Lighthouse and stoped at the sister hotel, The Ocean House . Stayed in the Great Egret Suite overlooking the water and the sound of the roaring ocean from our deck. A beautiful, stately place with a Naturalist full of information and a friendly staff.
