at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club

We spend a weekend celebrating an anniversary. The resort is getting a little dated but we had a fantastic signature water view room. Our welcome from Otis was standout and if not for him our rating would have been lower. He is worth his weight in golf to Wequasset. The complimentary car service was a great facility. The less good aspects of our stay was an unspectacular meal at the hotel restaurant. However, the following morning when we were invited to take our breakfast in the dimly lit pub as the restaurant was overrun by a wedding party was ill judged and poorly handled by the hotel. Almost, but not quite 5 stars. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Our favorite resort... just keeps getting better!

My husband and I celebrate our anniversary at the Wequassett each year for a one night stay and each year it gets better and better! The personalized touches that make it feel like home are outstanding. It’s paradise for kids and adults alike! We come each year without our kids and are able to enjoy a true luxury hotel. Even if it’s crowded you still feel like the most important guest! We will continue to come back year after year! I highly recommend staying in one of the quiet water front rooms. We had a lovely porch and spent lots of time on it... the outer grille is amazing for dinner and always has great live music at night. Sitting outside for the breakfast buffet is amazing... wish we were still there!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Restaurant needs more 'natural' service
Jul 14th, 2019
We reserved at the hotel last Sunday for a celebratory dinner with old friends from the Cape. The dining room is beautiful, and has spectacular views over the Bay. Cocktails were well made, but the rest of the dinner was frankly a disappointment. The service staff- mainly Eastern Europeans- were lovely and anxious to please. However, the commentary from them was pretentious, and just detracted from our enjoyment. Our waitress was told she was there 'to guide you through your culinary experience this evening'. We lost count of the number of times we were told that 'Chef' had 'deconstructed' or 'reinterpreted' our dish. Clearly she was under strict instructions to make these comments, but it just sounded absurd. We felt overall the food was good, but not remarkable. In particular, the main course risotto was underwhelming. There were also several occasions where it proved very difficult to gain the attention of the waiting staff, even if they were plenty in number. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is our 4th year coming and we really look forward to coming here. All the staff is friendly, helpful and authentic. They really go out of their way to make kids feel special. Looking forward to another visit this summer and certainly for 2020. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Outstanding amenities, vistas, and service!

We lodged at the Wequassett Resort because our daughter not only had her wedding reception there but we also had a fabulous clambake the next day. The rooms are nicely appointed and clean. We had beautiful views of the Pleasant Bay and were close to the pools and restaurants on the premises. The breakfast brunch buffet was marvelous and the service was impeccable. We stayed at the Wequasset years ago and the newly renovated amenities, like the adult only pool, gym facilities, and outdoor pool area and beach area were nicely done! Can’t wait to return!
