Wonderful proximity to all the hot spots in NYC! Subway station is very handy and taxis always driving by! Very clean, cool and quiet plus well appointed atmosphere. Don't let the stoic front staff dismay you, just be extra friendly to them! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This place is Good, ONLY IF YOU ARE AN OWNER HERE! All others, 2nd Class Citizens

This is a lovely “Spartan” Timeshare type property. I say “Spartan” as I will explain below (the furnishings are anything But Spartan). Excellent Midtown location. The rooms are designed with Creature Comfort in mind. The Staff is Excellently well trained in the Art of Hospitality (I suspect that, for the Prices that they charge, the Clientele demands it. Regardless, Service is Superb). Frankly, there is nothing about the Staff, Service or Rooms that one might object to….yet I have said, “Spartan”. Let me explain…. There are two types of “Occupants” here….there are 1) The Timeshare Owners (of Whom, the 57th Street Property is their “Home” Property in the Hilton Grand Vacation Club Network) AND, 2) Non-Owner Guests, AKA, “those that we Owners wish NOT to have to associate with, or at the very least, to have as little to do with, as possible”. Again, let me explain, as it will become apparent. On the Second Floor there is a Concierge Type of Room/Facility. There is a Buffet Breakfast in the Morning, and a Cocktail type of Buffet & Heavy Hors Oeuvres and Drinks, that could easily pass for an early dinner. (That is for Exclusive use of the Owners, and Owners only). Reread that and let it sink in!!! Mind you, it is NOT even available for other HILTON Grand Vacation Owners, whose “Home” Property might be elsewhere, and are merely staying at the 57th Street Property as a Guest. No, if one’s “Home” Property is NOT the 57th St Property, then you are an “Outsider”. Ditto, of course, for Non Hilton GVC Owners, who are merely Paying Guests. You too, are “Second Class Citizens” at this Property. So, if you are a Hilton GVC Owner elsewhere, other than “A Roof Over Your Head”, there is no Full Reciprocity in the Hilton Grand Vacation Club Network (which is not so "Grand"), with respect to this Property. Now, to the “Spartan” aspect mentioned previously. There are a few PC’s in a 1st floor room, which passes as a Business Center, and a Room with Exercise equipment. That’s it! A couch in the lobby for checking in & checking out, but that’s it. No Amenities Whatsoever. The “Unspoken message” is Unmistakable, if you are NOT a 57th St Owner, Go Elsewhere for Food or Drink, or even a quiet place to sit & read the newspaper, but Not Here. Folks, this is Manhattan. There are a Helluva lot of other places in Midtown, where for the same money, AND NO LONG TERM COMMITMENT OF TYING UP 10’s OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, YOU CAN GET AN EQUALLY NICE “ROOF” OVER YOUR HEAD….AND NOT BE EXCLUDED FROM THE ONLY AMENITY ON THIS PROPERTY. (Again, Reread THAT & Let It Sink In!) Now, in Spring thru Fall, this is easily “dealt” with, albeit an “inconvenience”, as Dining at all levels is no more than 100 feet to 500 yards from the Front Door, but come late Fall thru early Spring, having to “forage out” every time to Dine, is simply Unacceptable. How Hilton Mngt Allowed it to “come to this” is simple…they allowed the Owners to Bribe them into it. So be it, but this is the Last time I shall patronize this Property. Prior Notice Should Have Been Given! It is a Very clear "Caste" System, at best, and reminds one of the old Segregated South, at Worst. Like I said, the "message" is simply Unmistakable, because the Food & Beverage Service is the ONLY ONE AVAILABLE on the Property. It also makes Life HELL, for the Handicapped, who are FORCED to & MUST go Elsewhere for Food! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
