Westfield’s Marriott- Big Wedding Miss

We were booked for a wedding ( hotel - not the venue) in April and then October when wedding was rescheduled. Marriott actually has 2 weddings in the hotel this weekend and has know it for months and months. So we were very disappointed to find out - on arrival, the the hotel was a ghost town. Not one place to eat- nothing. Bar closed. No room service. They couldn’t even provide coffee in the morning to its 100 guests. This is completely unacceptable and totally profit driven. With 7 months to prepare for a wedding weekend you took complete advantage of current times to provide a unacceptable - and quite miserable experience. Part of the wedding weekend is connecting with family and friends around cocktails. The fact that Marriott did t give us enough notice to make other plans is really unconscionable. The staff was nice - and seemed contrite. We get that this decision was made at a higher level. The Marriott ‘Bonvoy’ brand has really gone down market ( we live in a Bobvoy residence in Dubai so we know. Any hotel that would host weddings without one place to eat or drink does not deserve our business. **. Oh. I was told I could purchase cold drinks at a kiosk off the lobby. Real classy. We are done with Marriott. What an embarrassment to the people hosting this wedding. Shame on Marriott. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We stayed at the Westfields Marriott in February travelling on business. When we got home we realized we left some items in the room. After calling and speaking with Christine Lacy we were happy to learn she had the items and she shipped them to us immediately. Christine was extremely professional and friendly and a pleasure to speak to. Thank you Christine and the Westfields Marriott for having such a gem as your Lead Loss Prevention Officer! Wanted to thank the team at WM especially Christine Lacy on helping me get some clothing back that I forgot in my room. They were all very thorough in packing it properly and getting them to a colleague of mine. Not to mention the facilities are 5 star. I enjoyed my stay there. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I stayed here for one night on a business trip and forgot a pair of Bose headphones in the room. Christine Lacy, Loss Lead Prevention Officer, was very prompt to locate the headphones and shipped them back to me across the country 2 day air at no charge! Worst service / worst stay

My children and I stay at a Marriott every year to celebrate my husbands birthday. The lobby is beautiful but that’s about it . When I booked the reservation I made sure to let the reservation attendant know we were celebrating a birthday. I am a Gold member and was hoping for at least a happy birthday when we checked in... nothing. Also as a gold member you’re supposed to receive an automatic upgrade and bonus points ....again nothing. So we get to our room which is totally dated (except the bathroom). The fire alarm was beeping very loudly so we called the front desk to ask for someone to change the battery. At least 30 min went by and nothing. We couldn’t stand the noise anymore so called the front desk to tell them we were leaving the room because it was too loud. We then ordered food for pick up from the restaurant at 4:00pm. They said it would take 30 minutes so at 4:30 I went to pick it up and they informed me they never put the order in it would be another half hour. We ended up getting the food at 5:20! I wish I could say our bad luck ended there. After we ate the food we decided to order dessert and I was sure to mention that we were celebrating a birthday. They brought the desert up no candle no nothing and on top of that the order was not correct. I called to let them know and said not to worry about sending the correct stuff up because at this point we were just done. They assured me they would take it off my bill . We then went to take a shower and water was spraying out of the bathtub while the shower was running. We finally went to bed. When I checked out my bill was still not correct as they had not taken the dessert off. This is by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had a Marriott especially one that is supposed to be so highly rated . So disappointed that the birthday celebration was less than adequate.
