Decent stay

Jul 1st, 2019

Price was great, good value for the money, close to lots of food. We walked to Bubba's for killer ice cream (BOGO!). Our room was a bit of a drive from the front desk. Nice and quiet. Be sure to shop for online deals. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Overall a good value

Jun 29th, 2019

I didn't have sky high expectations when arriving to this hotel, since it was only $59 a night. I wasn't expecting the four seasons but I also didn't expect this place to be a glorified motel. I didn't really care too much but the room you will likely be staying in is not posted on the front photo. You have to drive down the road to get to your room. Overall I don't have too many complaints about the place. It was in an extremely convenient location. The bed was huge and very comfortable. I was loaded up with fresh towels consistently, they have a nice tv with a large channel selection and the staff was helpful and pretty nice. I don't want to nit pick but let me tell you about the shower. If you want to have a nice relaxing shower to get cleaned off at days end, this is absolutely NOT the place for you. If you are that person don't touch this place with a 10 foot pole. The shower had one temperature and one temperature only - Absolutely scorching inferno level hot. If you were to stand under that water for more than 6 or 7 seconds, you will have third degree burns. I had to just stand next to the water and splash myself to get clean, and even then you just have to suck it up and bare through it. Just imagine sitting in a hot tub but after truckload of boiling water got dumped in it. Next time I will bring some noodles and a pot to make some pasta, because I certainly didn't need a stove to get hot water, I could just get it from my shower! By the second night, I was dreading the fact that I needed to take a shower. Overall, the place is nice and its not a bad place to spend a couple nights. But please get that shower fixed before someone suffers a burn or layers of their skin come off. Im not kidding, that shower is a serious hazard and its impossible to get clean. Overall place = good. Shower = absolutely brutal. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pick another place

Jun 22nd, 2019

Husband told by front desk they were sold out so sitting in the car I booked at hotel.com. Went inside a few minites later and was checked in. So that's strange. Rooms that you get to book are in the annex. It isn't pictured and it's not in the building of the main resort but you don't know that until you check in. The annex pool has no towels, there are no ice, snack or drink machines over there either. The main building had machines but the drink machines weren't working for credit cards, front desk has no change and change machine down in basement then took my $5. Front desk can't fix that either of you want it you'll have to try to get "Cory" manager but who knows when. Went to check out the night before instead of the next morning and the front desk can't check me out said supervisor would do when they got back and email receipt, still no email. Not once a sorry given for inconvenience And I'm supposed to want to buy a timeshare at this place....Audrey in housekeeping was the only truly helpful person on the staff that I encountered. She was pleasant and happily refreshed our towels as she came down the road where our room was. Others staff let it be known they had been working doubles etc, maybe that's the problem but no one is concerned with customer satisfaction so not a good way to talk you in to buying into a timeshare with them. I definitely wouldn't now. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A nice visit

Jun 19th, 2019

We stayed at Westgate for 4 nights on a family vacation. The hotel rooms were clean and the kitchen and washer dryer are a plus! The pool could have been cleaner and more towels were needed when we visited. There is a mini golf course, ping pong table, and corn hole available too. Activities are offered at the hotel although we weren’t given a schedule at check in. We had to ask for a schedule from the front desk. The living history session one evening was great! We would stay here again. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Spacious rooms and suites

Jun 2nd, 2019

We rented two rooms. One with double queen beds and one with a suite that had a living room, fireplace, full kitchen, laundry and over sized bathroom. Although the rooms were not ready just after 3 p.m., they were shortly there after. Nice location with restaurants near-by and just over 1 mile from Colonial Williamsburg. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
