Not up to par

Nov 6th, 2019

We stayed at this Villa for a week. My son said, mom you are going to love your stay. He stayed at a Westgate in Florida. We check in and they give us a door key and some coupons. We get in our room and everything looks great. It’s like an apartment. The first night we tried sleeping in the master suite but I have to watch television to fall asleep. The TV was so small and there was a cabinet, closet next to the TV. I forgot to mention the TV was on the wall. It did not swivel or pull out. We tried the other master bedroom and it was the same way. The sofa pulled out to a bed. It was so filthy when we pulled out the bed. I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. We had to clean it and put tons of clean sheets and blankets on it before we would attempt to sleep on it. It was so uncomfortable. The jetted tub in the master suite was dirty. We had to wash it out. It had nasty hairs and stuff in it. GROSS!! The washing machine made a huge noise every time we used it. The staff was rude. We came back kind of late, probably 9:00. There was no where to park. My husband went in to ask about where to park. The guy at the desk said, he didn’t know. WHAT? Isn’t that your job to help your tenants? We didn’t get offered any meals. My son said we should have gotten 3 meals. Our stay was uncomfortable and inconvenient. I was very disappointed with Westgate. My son is a part owner and he was very upset. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Last minute reservations exceeded our espectations.

Oct 19th, 2019

We went to Williamsburg just for an overnight get a way. The reservation was made last minute, just before we left home. We were truly amazed at the accommodations. The front desk personnel was very professional and efficient. The team member, Tony Clarke who took care of our check in was outstanding. The room was very nice and comfortable. the King room was not up to standard for westgate properties

Oct 15th, 2019

The king guestrooms in the annex buildings was at best sub par. It looked worn, was small, and the bathroom was even smaller even though it was an end room which was supposed to be the larger footprint. The AC/Heat worked either all hot or all cold, never would accept a temp setting. The phone did not work and the refigerator made weird sounds. Basically it reflected nothing that seemed to be what the Westgate seems to represent. I have been in better motel 6 rooms and that is saying a lot! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Exceeded My Expectations!

Oct 14th, 2019

My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the king guestrooms in the annex buildings. I got a great deal through an early booking promo, but was very nervous about what the room would be like after reading the reviews on here. I was very pleasantly surprised. The main resort check-in area/building was nice and the check-in staff were pleasant and efficient. I was only bummed I didn't bring a bathing suit since the pool/hot tub were still open! We were stopped briefly by a friendly woman who told us about the 90 minute timeshare spiel for the visa gift card but she wasn't pushy and took all of 2 minutes before we politely declined so no big deal. Our first evening we even got a text asking if we needed anything from the hotel staff. The annex location is about a 30 second drive down the road and I actually thought it was a cute collection of little bungalow type buildings. You're allowed to park on the curb directly outside your room which made unloading/loading so easy and convenient since it was just steps to the door. Our room had no musty/old smoke smell like so many old hotels do and was perfectly clean and more spacious than I expected, even tho the closet was comically short (still fit everything we needed it to tho!). The mini fridge and microwave were a nice touch and the AC worked great. The bathroom sink was a little small but not a big deal. Are the rooms sleek and new? No. Did it gross my germaphobe self out at all? Not in the slightest. Best of all, the king bed was SO COMFORTABLE. I had one of the best sleeps I've had in recent memory and my boyfriend actually googled to see if we could buy their pillows online because they are ridiculously fluffy and extra long which makes them like a fantastic body pillow type shape. Lastly, my boyfriend was in the room one afternoon when the cleaning staff person came in and said he had a nice chat with her and said she was very friendly and thorough. I was in town for a wedding so I knew two other couples staying in other guestrooms in the annex and they both had good experiences as well. For the price of only about $50/night that I paid and it's great location near Colonial Williamsburg I would absolutely stay here again and had no complaints! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Tired, thin walls, no breakfast

Oct 6th, 2019

We have stayed at many of the Williamsburg hotels and we won’t be back at this one. Our room was a very small “studio villa”. Queen bed. Walls so thin- heard loud neighbors last night from 2-4am. Very bare bones place. Seems like it’s past it’s prime. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
