Owner not very nice
Nov 2nd, 2020
Got turned away as if our money wasn’t good enough because the owner is stuck up and wants to pick and choose his guests, won’t be staying there ever in the over priced rooms, absolutely appalling service and rudeness and was not at all impressed, I would give this place a swerve TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

3 stars as I couldn't give 2.5. Really quirky rooms. We stayed in two different rooms, one was a bit grubby, sticky carpet and damp smelling (Vegas) and the other was gorgeous! (Laurent Perrier - I think!). Food was ok - not brilliant. Champagne and hot tubs were great. Biggest gripe was the service. This has 5 star room rates for 2/3 star service. You'll be dissapointed if you book this as treat and expect any level of service. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Great room, service a let down
Oct 27th, 2020
My husband and I had a lovely stay here. The room was huge, with a massive TV, outdoor hot tub and jacuzzi bath. The TV had all the Sky sports, movies etc and had Netflix and Prime (you had to sign into your own accounts to use these). We had an issue with the card we used to make the initial booking upon checking in, so had to use a different one. The girl who checked us in was quite rude "Are you sure you have any money in the account?". We ordered room service, the food was delicious and well worth the slightly higher price tag. One item had been forgotten with our order, when we mentioned this to the staff member, they tutted and asked if we had ordered the missing item, very rude. Breakfast the following morning was delicious. We will definitely be back to stay again, trying a different suite. Let's hope by then the members of staff have learnt how to smile!! Not once did we see one. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Overall very good

We went for a birthday celebration, stayed in the Roederer Cristal Room which was lovely, very spacious and unique. We thoroughly enjoyed the room which was very clean and well appointed. The only downside was the lack of attention to dietary requirements. I gave them a weeks notice of the need for gluten free dining but they couldn't even get a loaf of bread in for breakfast the following morning. In fact breakfast let them down considerably, probably up there with the worst I've ever been served. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice rooms, bad staff
Oct 26th, 2020
My partner and I came for a one stay for her birthday. The room was fantastic but it was the staff and the service that let it all down. The staff we were rude and didn’t really seemed that they cared, apart from one young girl serving. We had a question about the tv and they gave sarcastic comments back about it. The food was fairly good, although we ordered a steak and it came up under cooked, so had to send it back and the Waitress was also sarcastic about the situation. I also rang up the day before and asked them to decorate the dessert plate to say happy birthday etc, however when it came out there was nothing on it, so that was very disappointing. I feel the staff should have a uniform of some sort as they looked tacky and it didn’t seem very professional and smart compared to many other cheaper hotels. Overall when paying over £400 for a night stay and a meal you expect the highest quality of everything. I feel if they updated the small dinning/ reception and bar area it would be much better and I could justify the price. I doubt we will be returning for another Stay as for that price you could stay somewhere a lot better. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
