Worst Ranch resort every DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

Sep 15th, 2020

this was the worst experience of my life!!! They made promises and never fullfilled them!! The room was disgusting and was not cleaned a single time during my 3 day stay even though I asked for the maid to come multiple times. The food was horrible!! I brought the concerns up with the manager and he did nothing to fix the situation. He was the worst person to talk to and had no care or concern for his customers!!! I was up charged and had charges up on my credit card that where not authorized. They refused to remove them. This is the worse establishment I have ever stayed at!!. They are worst than super 8. Safe your money and go somewhere that is actually nice like a hilton and not a piece of trash hotel that wants to be a resort but falls short in every way!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

A perfect weekend getaway to experience all things Texas

Aug 10th, 2020

Such a fun weekend away and easy to get to! We stayed in the cabin suites which are spacious and decorated with a Texas theme with a history lesson in each room. Activities were a blast and food was delicious. I do think a bartender pool side and a band on the patio after dinner would have made it perfection. Can’t wait to come back again in the Fall when the weather cools a little and we can do a sunset ride and dinner. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Relaxing getaway

May 13th, 2020

Staying here is such a treat. It’s away from any city distractions so you can really relax in a serene natural environment. The staff in the hotel and the steakhouse are very friendly snd helpful. The food in the steakhouse is always very good, no matter what you choose. There are fun activities—skeet shooting, archery, horseback riding, hiking, and helping feed the Longhorns—if you choose to participate. You can also just relax in a rocking chair on the front porch or by the fireplace I’m cold weather. I really love this place. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Incredible place - we will be back

May 1st, 2020

We travelled from England and stayed between 8th-10th March as a birthday trip. I don’t even know where to start with how amazing Wildcatter is. We stayed in the cabins which I would highly recommend, the room was clean and very comfortable and there were incredible views from the porch to wake up to. We took our breakfast and evening meals in the restaurant and the food was really good, particularly the evening meals, with really friendly staff who were so helpful. The activities we did were longhorn feeding, trail riding, sunset ride, roping, grooming, shooting, the jeep ride and cow punching. Our activity guides were Clint and Shaun who we absolutely loved and were so helpful and friendly - their knowledge, experience and positive attitudes really made the experience for us. The personal highlight as a couple was the sunset ride which I would highly recommend, a nice glass of wine overlooking the ranch is a great way to spend a romantic evening. The personal highlight for me was cow punching - which was a childhood dream come true and I learned so much. The activities and our experience at Wildcatter made our entire trip to Texas, one of us is very ‘horsey’ and the other not so much but still equally enjoyed the experience and we can’t say enough good things about Wildcatter Ranch. Amazing family visit

Jan 12th, 2020

We were in Dallas and had one night to get out of town so chose the Wildcatter. The drive to get there was easy and pleasant. Since we only had one day, we wanted to fit in as many activities as possible. We were paired with Clint who very patiently and encouragingly, led our family (2 adults, 2 boys aged 12 and 14) through a series of activities we signed up for. None of us had any experience with guns, horses, etc. and yet we left with terrific instruction and a thoroughly fun afternoon of shooting, archery, tomahawk and next morning horse ride. I thought the breakfast and dinner were delicious (elevated home cooking). Every member of the staff was lovely and hospitable. We were in a cabin and there was a lot of space inside and a great view in the back to enjoy over a couple beers. Despite it being January, we had a great soak in the hot tub. As an urban family from Canada, this was a perfect chance to do something different and outdoorsy with teenage boys. They both were really excited to tell people about the visit.
