An Oasis in the midst of chaos.

Jan 21st, 2020

After walking down Bourbon Street it is so wonderful to come into this quiet, tranquil oasis. Everything about this hotel is top notch. We stayed on the club level which was so enjoyable because you could get some tea, a glass of wine or a snack during the day and just relax with beautiful views of the city. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Beautiful hotel in New Orleans

Jan 21st, 2020

If you are planning a trip to New Orleans, this is the place to stay. I cannot begin to describe how beautiful the property is, from the pretty courtyard to the elegant lobby and the excellent décor in the rooms. We were on the 11th floor and had a lovely deluxe king room (more of a suite, than a room). I loved the way it was decorated; beautiful soft colors, comfortable bed and everything you need. This was a special trip, as we were there celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. My son came with us as well and he had his own room, which was equally beautiful. The staff is courteous and could not do enough for us. A five star property. We will be back ! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Consistently great.

Great place to stay in New Orleans. First class accommodations and service in a convenient location. The atmosphere is sophisticated and a nice change from the tourist feel of most other hotels in New Orleans. Highly recommend it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Always a treat staying at the Windsor Court

Jan 12th, 2020

This hotel has it ALL. The Windsor Court sets the bar for an outstanding hotel experience. We have stayed there while visiting our son at college and have yet to be disappointed with any aspect of this property. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Continuing Disappointment

Jan 11th, 2020

We have been regular customers here for the last twenty years. The Windsor Court is one of the nicest (and most expensive) hotels in New Orleans, yet they are missing major 4-star hotel clout. The valet team (Ross and Troy in particular) have always been professional, quick, and welcoming. We have also enjoyed our visits to the Polo Lounge and received great service there by Alejandro, in particular. Once through the front doors, however, no one ever seems to be on point, remember us as being long-time clients, or gives service on par with an elite hotel. For example, upon our last check in, we arrived promptly at 3pm, when check-ins typically occur. We had two suites reserved and an early birthday party to attend at 5pm. We were told that our rooms weren’t ready and to wait to the side. We had six of us, plus our Labrador Retriever, and we all stood awkwardly to one side with luggage and bags piled around us—for one hour. We explained again that we had an important party to attend and would need to change. No one at the front desk seemed to care and the manager at the time, Jereme, was huffy with my husband when he asked more than once if there was anyway to get us into any room so we could change. It was only when Troy, from valet, saw us and recommended we go to the fitness center to change that our situation improved. I had already changed in the ladies room off the lobby (which was again awkward at best), but our children went to the fitness center and for that, I was grateful. Not one person from the front desk made any effort to remedy their mistake. On another recent visit, I woke up early and didn’t find the coffee machine in our room even though I always ask for a coffee machine to be placed in the room. (This is an “add-on” request that I find ridiculous as most luxury hotels have complementary coffee provided for guests early in the morning.) I went to the front desk to ask if I could get a cup of coffee and immediately was told, by a woman named Raquel, there wasn’t any available and I would have to order room service or wait until 6am when the coffee shop opens. (This was 5:15am.) Gilbert, a nice man working at the time, told me to hold on and rushed off. While I waited, I made small talk with Raquel. I listened to her yawn, tell me that she was tired, and that she couldn’t wait to go home. When Gilbert returned, he was carrying a cup of hot coffee, had a smile on his face and said, “no charge.” Thank you Gilbert! I went back not an hour later to give him a tip (as I didn’t have cash on me earlier), and found Raquel again at the front desk. I asked her if she could please find Gilbert so I could tip him and she called a number, left a message, but didn’t look up at me to relay any details. She answered the next call and then put that call on hold. She then started talking to co-workers and let me stand there without any communication until I asked another staff member if they knew where Gilbert was. Only then did Raquel say she didn’t know when he would be available. There have been some wonderful people we have had the pleasure to work with over the years and wish there were more like you—at the front desk, Allen J. Moore, Mark Clark and Warren. For the concierge, we loved Josie as she always delivered excellent service. In the Grill, our thanks to Bill Burkhart, Kimble and the kind woman who was always the morning hostess with a smile. This review is after we have expressed, internally, our frustration on numerous occasions and asked for a more thoughtful front desk manager and team. We had been assigned a contact to help with future issues, Jennifer Mose, but she wasn’t helpful either. Sadly, we are saying goodbye to the Windsor Court Hotel. You’re trading on your prior reputation and delivering neither 4-star quality nor value for the price paid. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
