Hotel was a bit outdated but clean. Bathrooms were small and parking was very difficult to get around. Indoor pool was very nice Nd staff was very accommodating. Condo is a bit off of the beaten path so if you want a slower place it is a great place to be. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

I made a reservation for a one-day stay and was most definitely pleased with the location, cleanliness, price, and amenities. The indoor pool was a nice surprise and the complimentary breakfast was quite adequate. Additionally, the staff was friendly and most helpful. I will definitely consider staying again. Friendly staff, rooms very clean and the appearance of the property was good. Small A/C issue which was not a big deal for me. But again very good clean and felt safe. Breakfast was very good and the pool area well maintained, did find it weird I had to go downstairs from the 4th floor for ice. there was no ice machine on my floor. did not pay attention if others floors had a machine. I stayed here this past weekend. I was visiting my daughter. The check-in was painfully slow. They actually had to put my card in an old fashioned credit card imprinter. Amazing! The room was adequate. I had a king suite. It was kind of grungy. The small blanket at the foot of the bed was stained. The bathroom shower curtain had been white - years ago. For the price and location, it was fine. No bells or whistles, though. Plan to sleep there. That's all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
All over a clogged Toilet.

We were there as a group in July. Had a clogged toilet late evening and went to the from desk to ask about a plunger. She started off very rude to begin with. Told us she was the only one working and could not leave the front desk. I find that hard to believe that in a hotel like that they would not have anyone on staff to help their patrons for an issue like this or changing a lightbulb, tv issue etc. Said ok can you please give me a plunger and I will unclogged the toilet myself. Answer is no and she does not know where to find one???? I told her I would be glad to drive to Walmart and buy one and unclog it myself if they would credit me the cost of the plunger. No can't do that either. Ok can you call your general manager to come to the hotel since he lived close by. No only in an emergency can she call him. She deemed this not to be an emergency. HMMMM so only option was for us to move all three people in my room and pack up and move to a different floor and room. We did this as it was our only option according to her. An hour later our friends call us to let us know there are cleaning people in our room turning our room and unclogged the toilet. REALLY!!!! Now you get people really upset. Went the next morning and spoke with Don the GM and he was already in defense mode and basically believed his front desk employee and said he was not doing anything for us since someone in our group had posted what had happened on Trip Advisor. Said there was already damage done and he has lost out on future business because of the post. I would never stay at another Wingate. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I would not stay here and would look for another hotel that is helpful to their customers. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
