Wonderful time at colonial Williamsburg

Feb 26th, 2020

The Staff and Hotel are wonderful. They make our stay at colonial Williamsburg so easy and convenient. I encourage everyone to stay at a Colonial Williamsburg Hotel, and visit this wonderful site to learn about our nations early history. It is so well done, and we need to support fine institutions like this one with our patranoge. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

You get what you pay for.

Friendly staff. Cleaning staff does not pay attention to details. Mini-fridge not on, specks in microwave, no soap in bathroom. Breakfast provided had enough variety to feed the family. Lots of additional fees. Yes, I was aware before I booked, but still annoying. It is a three star hotel right next to the visitor's center, and therefore extremely convenient. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great Hotel!

Feb 22nd, 2020

Our 2 room suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk receptionist Saundra was Fantastic! She made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The breakfast has it all...Waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, eggs, bacon, etc. Loved the rooms. If you have family, this is the place. A great short walk to the Historic area with so much to entertain you along the way. Also a great shuttle service that is always on time! Every 15 minutes even in off season! We were fortunate to be there during a snowfall and I must say it is so cool being there while the white fluffy snow is on the trees and buildings. We had previously stayed in a Hilton brand suiye the night before. The Woodlands blows it away in quality, staff, and service. My only downer is that the pool is closed during trhe winter. They should just heat it up and keep it open. They would attract more families. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Comfortable, convenient, and economical

Feb 20th, 2020

Our room and beds were very clean, comfortable and well arranged. Also we were right around the corner from the Visitor Center and a short walk to Colonial Williamsburg. People working there are very nice too. Everything was really good, including the breakfast, but I wish less plastic trash had been generated. Even the half and half cream was in those little plastic disposable containers. Plastic forks, spoons and knives, plastic plates, styrofoam bowls- everything was to be tossed in the trashcan. I just can't imagine how much trash this hotel generates in a year. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Glad we chose it

Feb 19th, 2020

We stayed in Colonial Williamsburg for two days and nights; we picked the Woodlands because it advertised a good rate, hot breakfast, work-out area, and proximity to the historic district. It delivered on all aspects. The nicest thing, to us, was the bridge to the trail to the town. We didn’t drive at all. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The suite (which we were given because the place is mostly empty in February) was clean and well kept. The king bed was perfectly comfortable. We had no complaints at all. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
