Disney, Disney, and more Disney!

Feb 24th, 2020

We have been Worldmark owners about 15 years. In those 15 years we have stayed at a lot of Worldmark/Wyndham properties, west coast, east coast, Hawaii, Canada, etc. We have probably stayed at the Anaheim location the most, we would consider ourselves a Disney family. We have stayed in studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms. There have never been any complaints, everything is continuously being updated. Our last trip was a bit stressful and the Worldmark staff made it so much easier. Our luggage didn't make it to us on an airport transfer and we had no personal hygiene items, or extra clothing. (I know, we should have had a carry on with that but didn't.) The front desk found out what happened and gave us toothbrushes, deodorant, toothpaste, combs, etc. Thankfully, with the washer and dryer in the unit we had clean clothes for the next day. Our clothes have always come out clean when using their appliances. We have often thought of staying on Disney property instead, however it is so nice at Worldmark Anaheim,(as well as other WM resorts, haven't found a bad one yet that is 100% WM owned and operated) and we mostly sleep there anyway. When we do hang around, the pool, hot tub, and location to the local restaurants and shop are nice to take advantage of. The rooftop hot tubs and fireworks viewing are our favorite! I would never hesitate to send a friend or family member there using my points, and we are kind of hotel snobs when we do have to actually stay in a hotel we prefer Hilton, Hyatt, etc. It was funny on our last trip to Hawaii staying in a Wyndham timeshare, there was a company on the street trying to help people sell timeshares that they owned, they tried to stop us to ask if we owned one we wanted out of. Our response was that we loved our timeshare! No, we wouldn't sell it, in fact we may eventually buy more points! I realize not everyone always has the perfect vacation, but for us and our family, Worldmark/Wyndham has had a big part in helping our family make some pretty awesome vacation memories that we probably would not have had normally. It insured that we had a vacation every year, whether it required driving or flying we knew we would be looking forward to a vacation no matter what! (Before becoming owners, we would plan a vacation and then have to cancel because an unexpected expense would come up. As owners, our vacations were paid for in advance, and we didn't have anymore cancelations.) For us, when we step into a Worldmark or Wyndham property we feel like we are at our home away from home. Including their comfortable beds! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Pool, Excellent Room, Perfect Proximity, Shuttle

Feb 12th, 2020

Family trip to Disney in the cold and rain. One of the better parts of the adventure was the clean, close and nice place to stay at WorldMark Anaheim. When the weather was good we were able to walk to food and to the park. When we needed to get out of the weather the shuttle was a welcome blessing. Small but nice workout room too! Perfect Disney Getaway

It was a perfect location for a Disneyland vacation! They take great care of you and have staff to help with bags. You can park for a $10 daily fee. It was really easy to buy shuttle tickets to Disneyland that lets you come and go as many times as you want all day. The shuttle drops you off right in front of the gates and right outside the front of the hotel. The rooms are nice and the pool is beautiful. We loved the large hot tub. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Okay

Here are the pros: I'm a Worldmark owner so the stay was on points, the pool and hot tub were clean, the room is spacious, there is a kitchen and washer/dryer. The cons: The mattress is hard, the internet not only didn't work...but they clearly were blocking cell signal to force you to BUY their internet, the furniture and carpet are ugly, there is no free shuttle like most places have ($6 per person per ride), and the sales tactics are pushy and obnoxious. In particular they promised me a bottle of wine (that I did NOT solicit but they kept offering so I said yes) and it never was given AND they put you through a rah-rah we're so awesome sales pitch and then play games with how long they say it will take. They said it would be over in an hour at 8:30 by 9 I said I'm leaving. Then it was well we need your driver's licenses to give you your gift. We need both of them. Why? Why do you need to see, and take both of our DLs just to give us a gift card? Then they didn't give them back. We discovered we didn't have them when we went to buy a drink and couldn't. On the phone they promised to get them to our room but they didn't (must be with the wine?!?). We had to go to three places and spend 30 minutes trying to get our DLs back. Accident? I think not. If we had left that hotel without those DLs we would have not been able to get through security at the airport, costing us time, money and lots of anxiety. It was very manipulative. They also tried to run our credit despite us saying we were not buying anything. Stay here but avoid these vultures and their BS. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
