If you're looking to immerse yourself in the history of Jackson Hole, stay here: This grand dame in downtown Jackson has welcomed visitors since 1941, and it still looks much like it did back when it first opened its doors. Rooms are decorated with local paintings, carvings and needlepoint pillows, while the furniture is reminiscent of a rustic mountain lodge. Guests love The Wort's traditional feel, but they also appreciate the more recent additions to the property, including free Wi-Fi service and a fitness center with Jacuzzi tubs. Though you won't be sleeping at the foot of the slopes, you'll have no trouble reaching the mountains thanks to The Wort's complimentary ski shuttle. Back at the hotel, you can thaw out with a drink at the Silver Dollar Bar or a hot and hearty meal at the Silver Dollar Grill. Recent guests say a stay will cost you a pretty penny, but the customer service doesn't disappoint.
