Great rental through Airbnb

Found this property through Airbnb (Resort Shares) Pros: Great rates for a very nice size two bed-two bath unit. Tower 1, 6th floor. Our room faced the parking lot. Yet view also included the golf course and several Disney resorts. They open a room on 7th floor each evening to watch the Epcot fireworks! Great water pressure in showers. Well stocked pans and utensils in kitchen. Washer and dryer worked fine. Furniture was comfortable. Dressers still “smelled”new. Not bad smell just not yet stunk up by use. 🙂 Sufficient luggage racks near tower entrance for moving in and out of unit. No porters to assist, unless requested during check in. In general, staff with whom we interacted were helpful and professional. Cons: when we opened the jacuzzi tub drain the most vile smell came out. Ran hot water for several minutes and it went away. Eew. When we checked in they insisted our reservation was for 7 nights. I produced my Airbnb confirmation for 6 nights. As I had pre-paid through AirBnb. Had similar song & dance when we checked out. They questioned our “early”checkout. Didn’t effect what we are charged b/c AirBnb transaction. Also, be very prepared to declined timeshare presentations. We had no interest nor obligation in sitting thru the talk. When we checked in at the front desk I requested we be put on the no-call list. Then when we were sent to concierge to pick up parking pass they tried to schedule a presentation. I reiterated we were on do not call list. Fortunately during our almost week stay we got no calls and were able to avoid the lobby where they ply their trades. Would we stay here again? Depends. Being able to avoid time share pressure was key. The unit was wonderful and amenities & location are fantastic. However, Tower 1 is quiet and away from the crowds. Since the exact Tower isn’t known until check in, it would be roulette to get same area. We will probably tempt fate and give it another go. Would then DEFINITELY use AirBnb again to book this location TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

My husband and I enjoyed a four night stay here recently for the Disney Marathon Weekend and absolutely loved it! What we loved: The location! Amazing location inside the Walt Disney World Resort, only a few minutes from Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs. Super Target, Publix and WalMart are also a short drive away for groceries. The resort: HUGE and BEAUTIFUL! Really enjoyed the landscaping, the walkway around the center lake and the multiple pools and other thing to do. We ate at both the pizza place and outdoor bar/grill. Great service from both. We had a two bedroom unit which was very nicely decorated and spacious, much more room than the two of us needed. Master bedroom had a private bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate shower and two separate sinks which was great. The other bedroom had two full size beds and and additional bathroom outside. The kitchen area was fully equipped and a large table and decent sized living room with a deck. A washer and dryer were in the unit as well. Our room was on the 7th floor in tower 3 overlooking the golf course. From the opposite side of our building you could see the top of the Epcot ball and would be able to view the fireworks. Timeshare pitch: From many previous reviews, I knew what to expect after checking in. Visit the main check in desk and then go to another desk to get the parking pass and pitch to attend a sales session. We are not owners and we were so impressed with the resort that we actually might have attended but with my husband doing the Dopey Challenge (four consecutive days of running), at the time I couldn’t commit for what time we could go as we’d be waking up at 230am or earlier every day of our stay. We visit Orlando pretty often and this resort will be the first option we look at going forward. It has everything we could possibly need and the great location for visiting all the parks. We were guests at a wedding reception. Stayed 2 nights. Our timeshare suite in tower 6 was very nice. Great view. Dinner reception at the hotel was very good. They have numerous pools, jacuzzis and a lazy river. Would love to go back. Lovely resort near Disney. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

It’s a nice resort. My in-laws are using timeshare points so since I am not paying for it it’s not completely a fair comparison. There are plenty of pools and enough to keep kids busy. We have chosen to just drive to the parks or have had family drop us off and uber’d back. We stocked up at Publix. You don’t need a shopping rewards card which is nice. But most of their deals are BOGO deals. No one is complaining we had to buy two ice creams! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
