Poor service

Jul 14th, 2019

If you plan to use the resort to crash after visiting Disney, Universal, etc., and have meals at the parks, then the resort has some nice features. However if you plan to spend most of the time at the resort and eat meals there, the staff is poorly trained and appears unprepared and understaffed for the number of people, so service is spotty. Back Bay Bar we had good experience first day, but the last day the service was slow and the waitress could not even crack a smile (the food was good but the beer selection poor). Lazy river has a lot of debris. The lady checking in/out pool towels had no clue what she was doing. There is poor communication amongst the staff so they send a crew to the room to fix a problem that had already been fixed. I guess two crews is better than zero, but I am sure the extra cost shows up in your housekeeping fees. They tried to charge us $20 for a shoebox-sized package delivery. Yikes! For $20 it does not even get to the room. For $20 you get to walk half way across the resort, wait in a long line, find out that they can't find it, then get to interact with a snotty guest services manager who wants to argue. Awesome! First Visit

Jul 12th, 2019

We bought a timeshare and are enjoying our first stay at the resort. It's located in the middle of everything Disney between Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Springs shopping area. Our two bedroom rental is nicely equipped with two double beds in one room, a King size bed in the master with a jacuzzi tub, and there is a sleeper sofa in the living area. The kitchen is nice and there is laundry in the room. The resort has nice amenities, shuttles to the various theme parks for a fee, and a restaurant on premises as well. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great place for a business meeting

This is my second trip to this property. The service could not be better. The banquet staff is really service oriented, met my needs in every way. It's clean. The amenities are are great, too. Pool, lake, gym, etc. I'd be glad to come back. Note ... avoid the baby in the room next door. S/he cried from 1:45-3am and that kind of stunk. Not that it mattered to me, but my room had bunk beds! The resort is great... but NOT the guests staying there.

Jul 11th, 2019

My family and I stayed at the Bonnet Creek resort over the 4th of July holiday. We are not owners, but stayed in one of the timeshare condos. The resort is on Disney grounds and very convenient to everything Disney. The one bedroom condo was lovely, clean, updated, and had great wifi (wifi works well all over the resort). The grounds are lovely at the resort. The landscaping, the pools, the minigolf, the slides, the playground, the swings, and BBQ areas are all well maintained. The staff we interacted with were all very nice. The pools are a little on the small side and the lazy rivers are short too (one is much shorter than the other). But, there are a lot of pools to choose from and we had fun “pool hopping.” There are plenty of tubes for the lazy rivers and you won’t have trouble snagging a few. The slides at the pools are fun too. The height requirement is less on the blue slide than the pirate slide. Feeding the coy fish was fun (fish food can be purchased in building 6 for $1). You had to keep an eye on your towel, as they are not readily available, but we are used to that with resorts in Orlando. We had lunch at the outside bar/restaurant by the main hotel building. The lunch was great, the service was great, and the beer prices were fair for a resort. Some condos are lucky enough to have a view of the fireworks at night. We were able to see the 4th of July fireworks from the penthouse in building 1 (they often open the penthouse for folks to see the fireworks). But, it was very crowded and the visitors treated the penthouse as their own (laying about on beds and couches) which I thought was classless of them… more on this later. Before booking reservations, the difference between the hotel and the timeshare was confusing to me and the website is confusing too. There is a hotel and many timeshare buildings all around the small lake. If you want to make a purchase in the hotel, but are staying in the timeshare, you can’t charge to your room. They have happy hour in the hotel bar at 4pm (draft beer $6) and sushi specials starting at 5pm. But, the happy hour prices for beer are the same as getting a beer at any of the bars by the pools, so I would not make a special trip to the hotel for beer. There are also signs posted for daily drink specials, which were fun (Miller Mondays, Frozen Fridays). I did not like the prices at the hotel spa, even with groupons readily available. Otherwise, I would have checked out the spa. In all, we had a lovely visit and a great time. But, would I ever return to this timeshare/hotel again? NO WAY! Would I recommend it to others? Not really. The reason being… the guests there. The guests were classless, hordes of people without manners or self-awareness. The guests were gross and I did not like being around uncivilized, swearing teens and adults. I don’t know the reason why. I’ve been to plenty of timeshares, so I don’t blame the timeshare option for this necessarily. But, I’ve never encountered so many classless people at a hotel, ever in my life, which is why I’ll not be going back. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
