I had two nights booked here a few weeks back. One was booked by UTSA (the nearby university). The second night I paid for. Upon check-in, I was told that there were some renovations underway, so the restaurant was closed, but breakfast would be in the lobby the next day. Well, OK. At 7:30 AM the next morning I awoke to sounds of drilling on the floor and room above mine. My interview started at 1, so much for resting that morning in my room. Breakfast was cellphone wrapped muffins and burned coffee. When I returned at 5 pm, I could not gain access to my room. Even though I my card had been swiped and I had paid, the key had only been coded for one night. I had to go back to the desk and wait in line for a replacement. The replacement did not work either. Finally, the desk manager had to bring multiple keys upstairs to the room with me in tow to open the door. The result--I was late for another standing appointment. Other than this, the bed was comfy and the bathroom roomy. But really, why would you place guests in rooms that directly under renovation areas? TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Upon arrival it was a bad experience. Once I was able to get to my room, we noticed the room hadn't been cleaned. I walked out my room to find a cleaning crew member as I had seen a couple of cleaning carts along the end of the hallway. Once I told the member about how the room was dirty, she acted like she didn't understand what I was saying so I repeated myself over 5 times while standing in the hallway. I told her there was trash in the room along with what looked like trimmer hairs in the sink as well as trash in the trash can in restroom. I was already appalled by the look but was tired of my drive there that I didn't feel like complaining any more because the front desk staff was rude as could be, never will I again stay at this location nor will I suggest this place to anyone! Please steer far away from this location/establishment. It was beyond horrible and I've had ugly experiences but none will ever compare to this establishment. Overall appearance and cleanliness as well as customer service are lower than whale poop! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Nice Room....everything else fairly poor.

Felt a little cheated as the hotel stated it’s under construction on the official website and only pool was out of service... this however is not the case... Only entrance into the hotel was on the side where the parking lot is fairly dark. Both front and rear entrances are being worked on at the same time (so not only pool out of action?) Many of the walls in the hotel are plasterboard (lobby, hallways and even buffet area) and the hotel smells of a construction site. Buffet breakfast was poor and uninspiring. You could tell they did not have full kitchen access as your options were very limited. Options fruit, fruit salad, Luke warm eggs. Barely cooked turkey sausage, mini cereal boxes, coffee, toast (toaster cord was actually on an extension cord running outside into the hall and the buffet area as I mentioned earlier was lined with plasterboard.) Asked for hot sauce.... no hot sauce was pointed towards some salsa. Asked for ketchup nope was pointed at the same salsa. The server said ‘sorry we are facing a construction crisis right now’. Felt that for $7 per person was a poor selection and quality and would have just gone elsewhere if I had known... On the positive side Room looks really nice and new. New fittings, nice bathroom. Negative side of the room One of the shower towels had actual poop on it.... :( and lucky I spotted this before using it. TV was stuck on some stupid voice narrating thing and unlike some other hotel brands that I stay in your options were pay $19 for two movies on offer or watch the local TV. There was no smart/internet tv.... I don’t think I would go back to this hotel even once all the construction mess is over basically as I believe that Wyndham could have done more to explain the situation in the hotel prior to you booking and the breakfast situation could have been better. And the towel situation could have been avoided if their laundry staff or maid did their job properly. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Staff was excellent and room was clean & comfortable. Only drawback to this particular hotel is the outside structural renovations going on. Parking is sort of strange as well as trying to find entry to the hotel. Although the outside was not personally appealing, the hotel staff was most accommodating & friendly plus the room was immaculate in cleanliness to the fifth degree. Thanks for the pleasing personalities offered! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Not in a good location

This hotel is located next to the greyhound bus station and it just wasn't a family friendly environment to be walking with kids at night to and from the river walk. The service was great but the location of the hotel is a problem. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
