overbooked and over priced

We didn't get the room I requested wanted a riverview and got a city view, couldnt change our room as they were over booked by 7 rooms, when we arrived only 1 person working the desk took forever to check in, called to complain and was told there was nothing they could do. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Just Dont

There are so many options in town, don’t ruin your trip by staying here. Smells awful. Doors are paper thin. Elevator is always broken. Desk staff act like you’re being aggressive when asking if the elevator will be repaired or if they can do anything about drunk idiots in the hall at 3 am. Just don’t. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Surpassed my expectations

Stay here. You may not expect it, but the City of Chicago is a great place to go on vacation for many reasons. I am going back ASAP. The Wyndham location I stayed at was right on the river and I could not believe the view. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

This is a beautiful hotel located on the river in a fantastic location. Great staff at the front desk! This hotel is close to food, shopping, and activities. We will return when we are back in Chicago. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Great view, but.......

Aug 19th, 2019

Great view, great room. I would have given this five stars except for a game they played with us. Bought our reservation through Priceline, because we searched for a hotel with free breakfast. When we arrived at the front desk we were told breakfast was not included. I started to get my laptop out mentioning that I had a screenshot proving my case. Then the desk clerk admitted that there was a problem in that Priceline has a free breakfast offer by mistake, but they would honor it. Really? So the Wyndham's policy is to lie to guests unless they the guests have proof of the actual agreement they made, and then they admit the truth? Not honorable. Otherwise a great, great hotel.
