Never rec'd an arrival info enail. Called and were told we not staying at Wyndham, but a complety different resort where we were required to pay $21 per day for the privilege of using pool, fitness center, (eventho these are closed), internet and golf discount. No one mentioned this at time of reservation nor before I had to call the day before arrival. It was a 2 day back n forth w/Wyndham being told we were not required to pay extra $170/were required. We did not buy into a resort club to have this lack of tact, lack of information & policy from every agent involved. Total chaos!!! TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Step back to the 60s.

This is an OLD property that has not been updated in a very long time . No internet, but it did have a flat screen TV. Boring but beautiful area. Good mattress and only 1 golf course open to the public, and a 9 hole executive course which was fun. We will not return to this area. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

We rendezvoused with friends from other states in SapphireValley for several days, enjoying beautiful autumn foliage, hiking and touring the areas wonderful water falls. Our accomodations at Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley were excellent as we were all able to stay together and enjoy the resorts many amenities. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Mountain winter getaway
Nov 21st, 2019
While the condos can use some serious updating, overall the experience was great. We knew we would arrive late (after 7pm) and the office would be closed. We followed the instructions and had zero issues. The property is beautiful, yet not much to do. However, this is expected if you're looking to get away from the touristy-type stuff. Very cute little town, beautiful views, friendly people. As a Wyndham owner and having stayed at multiple properties in the mountains, beaches, middle-of-nowhere, we've never had half the issues some other reviews state. Most of the time, these are not "all-inclusive-resorts" and you should be aware of that and set your expectations as such. Having the snow tubing and skiing onsite was quite convenient. Fun for our daughters. It would not be fair to compare this to Colorado, Utah, etc.. You're in the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get what you get. If you're looking to get away and enjoy the scenery, slower pace and like the small-town vibe, definitely make a trip here. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
Lady at Rec Center ruined it
Nov 3rd, 2019
This review wouldve probably been a 4 star of based solely on facilities, cleanliness, and price BUT the lady at rec center was so unpleasant of a human being and seemed to have it out for my young family (most people staying there were much older) that it negatively impacted the rating that much. God forbid someone under 14 years old take a dip in hot tub under parent supervision. This lady made it her life mission to scold my kid and then hang around and make sure she didnt go back in. Keep in mind there were no other patrons around, no horseplay, we were quiet. Terrible hospitality. Retirement home vibe and dont go here if you are under that age group. You won't be welcome here. We even left early to go somewhere else where we were welcomed and not watched like hawks by workers with too much time on hands TRIPADVISOR.COM USER
