My favorite business hotel in Zurich

Pros Great location - walking distance to Zurich HB train station Excellent Swiss restaurant - recommend the de nussli and zuri gschnatzlets dishes. Cigar lounge - very well ventilated and open 24 hours Executive Lounge for Titanium members - well lit and very spacious. Breakfast is excellent as well Reasonable gym Cons This hotel is a bit more pricey than the other BonVoy hotels in Zurich (eg Sheraton) but the difference is worth it. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Not Impressed

I stayed at the Zürich Marriott Hotel this week for the first time. I am a frequent business traveler and Platinum Elite member. The hotel is in a convenient location near the train station. The staff in the M Lounge was attentive and friendly. So was the valet staff. Other than that this hotel was disappointing. Check in was at 3 pm. I showed up following a red eye flight at 2:30 pm. They only had two rooms available both near the elevator and on lower floors. I had a chat conversation requesting a higher floor and a room away from the elevator days prior. After much discussion, being assigned a room on a lower floor that had not been serviced, and an hour wait, I was given a room on the 10th floor. There was much traffic noise even that high up. Every evening the same type of food smell was in my room and I have no idea where it came from. The minibar and coffee service was never properly restocked. Several of the front office staff need to get more customer service training. I am going to switch back to a smaller hotel on the lake. This Marriott did not make me feel comfortable and welcome. Quiet Neighborhood

This hotel is within 7-8 minutes walk to the Central station. It is next to a canal, in a beautiful and quiet environment. Service is good. The rooms are spacious and airy. Club lounge on the ground floor is pleasant. The Swiss restaurant inside the hotel offers extremely delicious food and high quality service, A must try experience in Zurich. TRIPADVISOR.COM USER

Unacceptable service

Stayed for two days in January, my daughters where treated like second class citizens from check in to departure. They are 21 and 18 years old. I paid with Marriott points for the two nights. We usually stay at the Renaissance Zurich Tower and the service is totally different there. We had chosen this hotel because of the location in Zurich. The staff really need to get there act together in regards to serve younger clients and show them respect. Also the front desk called our room and told us we had a package there when we came downstairs they couldn’t find it. We got the package the next day. Awesome Place!

We as two couples had a 5 night stay at this Marriott Hotel in Zurich and we are very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding places to visit in Zurich and it's outskirts too. The hotel is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed. Breakfast was substantial, and suited all tastes. The hotel is quiet, and is situated close to the railway station with an underground city mall and supermarkets, which is within easy walking distance from the Hotel. The front desk staff all were professional and pleasant. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Fabian Cavin from the guest relations for his help and the booking for Christmas Dinner after the places were already booked We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.Thanking you all and wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year. 2020.
